#Opera Neon AI Agentic Browser

Opera has finally opened public access to Opera Neon, its new experimental browser built for heavy AI users. What makes it unique is Opera’s vision of an “agentic browser”, one that doesn’t just show websites, but can use AI agents to perform tasks and even build simple web apps for you. Neon also includes access to Gemini 3 Pro and GPT 5.1, giving users powerful AI tools right inside the browser. Opera has officially launched Neon, a new subscription-based browser that integrates agentic AI features designed to handle tasks directly within the browsing experience. Unlike traditional browsers, Neon can open and close tabs, compare data across multiple sources, and complete transactions on behalf of users. The browser positions Opera against competitors like Perplexity’s Comet Browser and The Browser Company’s Dia Browser. Opera confirmed Neon will remain a standalone product, though select features may be integrated into its flagship browser. Opera has rolled out Gemini-powered AI features to more of its browsers, expanding support beyond Opera Neon to include Opera One and Opera GX, bringing smart tools to over 80 million users worldwide.
