#Perplexity AI Google Chrome

Reuters has reported that Perplexity AI made a $34.5 billion offer to acquire the Chrome browser from Google. Perplexity did not disclose detailed funding plans for the proposed Chrome acquisition. The offer comes amid regulatory pressure in the US for Google to divest Chrome. The company plans to invest $3 billion into Chrome over two years, and maintain Google as the default search engine. Google has announced new updates to Chrome Autofill. Google is also extending Chrome's integration with Google Wallet. If the information is not already saved in Google Wallet, Chrome can offer to store it when entered for the first time. The new pointer capabilities are now being added to Google Chrome.
