Qualcomm is claiming that AI PCs will cost less than the latest iPhone in a recent earnings call. Qualcomm also says that even with lower prices, the company will keep the devices’ performance consistent. Having been in development throughout the year, AI-powered PCs are seen as the future of personal computers. As soon as Microsoft announced Copilot+ PCs, devices like the ASUS Vivobook S 15 came out of nowhere. Going back, Qualcomm had extra news aside from promising lower prices for AI PCs. At the height of war, there were Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipsets, engaged in heated battle against Apple’s A-series mobile chips. So while everyone salivated over the Galaxy S4 and its state-of-the-art Qualcomm Snapdragon 600, the Star was what most of us actually got to use on a daily basis. It was a powerhouse with two larger cores in a big.LITTLE arrangement, trading blows on equal ground with its Qualcomm and MediaTek equivalents.
