Realme C2

The Realme C2 launched in May 2019 with an initial price of PHP 5,490 for the 2GB + 16GB variant and PHP 6,490 for the 3GB + 32GB model. In September 2019, Realme launched the 'Realme C2 2020' with larger storage, priced at PHP 5,490 for 2GB + 32GB and PHP 6,490 for 3GB + 64GB. The device received several price promotions, including a PHP 500 discount in June 2019 and a further price drop in November 2019 to PHP 4,990 (2GB+32GB) and PHP 5,990 (3GB+64GB).

Based on our review and specs sheets, the Realme C2 features a 6.1-inch HD+ dewdrop display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor with PowerVR GE8320 GPU, paired with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM. It has a 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera setup capable of 80fps slow-motion video at 480p, a 5MP front camera, and a 4,000mAh battery. It runs ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie and includes AI Face Unlock, but does not have a fingerprint scanner.

In our review, we found the Realme C2 to feel solid and sturdy despite its budget positioning, with a matte, diamond-cut plastic back that resists fingerprints. The display offers good color reproduction, though brightness can be an issue outdoors. Performance from the Helio P22 chipset is decent for basic tasks and light gaming, but it can struggle with heavier multitasking. The 4,000mAh battery provides excellent battery life. The camera takes decent photos in good light, and the inclusion of slow-motion video recording is a notable feature for its price point.
