Samsung has recently announced the launch of Samsung Wallet to help Galaxy users to organize digital keys, boarding passes, identification cards, and more in a single app. Samsung states that its wallet will give users a"refined interface and one-swipe access to their payment cards, loyalty and membership cards and more". Samsung further stated that it will even integrate with Samsung Blockchain Wallet to help monitor digital assets and cryptocurrencies across different exchanges. Samsung stated that Samsung Wallet combines Samsung Pay with Samsung Pass into one secure platform to help secure passwords and quickly log into apps. Currently, Samsung Wallet will only be available in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the UK, and the US and on Galaxy phones running Android 9 Pie or later. Samsung has introduced a new Digital Home Key feature in Samsung Wallet that allows Samsung Galaxy users to unlock compatible smart door locks using their smartphones. It expands Samsung Wallet’s digital key system, which was previously used mainly for cars, to now include home door locks. After setup, the digital key can be added to Samsung Wallet during the lock’s onboarding process.
