Samsung is now in mass production of 1TB microSD cards, and is sampling 256GB SD Express microSD cards. Samsung is manufacturing the 1TB UHS-1 microSD card with eight stacking layers of its 8-gen V-NAND technology. As for the SD Express microSD cards, they have a reading speed of up to 800MB/s. The 1TB microSD card is projected for launch in the third quarter of 2024. As for the 256FB SD Express microSD card, it will be available for purchase later this year. Designed to last up to 16 years of continuous recording, Samsung PRO Endurance is the latest in microSD card technology from Samsung Electronics. Samsung PRO Endurance also features six-proof durability, allowing protection from water, magnets, X-rays, drops, and extreme temperatures (operable from -25 to 85 degrees Celsius). This comes after their recent announcement of the 98-gram Samsung T7 Shield Portable Solid State Drive (PSSD), their latest external SSD which has 1TB and 2TB variants.
