Groupe BPCE, France's second largest banking institution, will start to roll out money transfers for its customers via a Twitter. Customers will be able to send money with a single tweet sometime this week as part of a trial run. This payment channel may require Twitter users to add bank details into their Twitter profile in order to receive the money accordingly. Sending money to the wrong person can happen to anyone, especially if you are in a rush or forget to double-check the mobile number before confirming the transfer. To help avoid this from happening again, users should take extra care before sending money through GCash. Digital wallets make sending money more convenient, but that convenience also comes with responsibility. Sending money to the wrong account can be difficult to reverse, especially as most digital payments today are processed instantly. The central bank emphasized that the responsibility to assist customers primarily lies with the originating financial institution (OFI), or the bank or e-wallet used to send the money.
