Snapdragon X Elite

The Snapdragon X Elite features a 12-core Qualcomm Oryon CPU and is capable of 45 TOPS of AI processing power via its Hexagon NPU, qualifying it for Microsoft's Copilot+ PC program. It supports features like running generative AI models locally, multi-day battery life, and connectivity including the Snapdragon X75 5G modem and Wi-Fi 7. It is designed for AI tasks such as Recall, Cocreator, and real-time translation.

Several major manufacturers have released laptops with the Snapdragon X Elite. A prominent example is the Microsoft Surface Laptop 7, available in a 15-inch model with the X Elite chip, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. In the Philippines, this model is available at Villman for PHP 119,999. Other partners include Samsung, Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo.

The Snapdragon X Elite represents a serious challenge to the x86 dominance of Intel and AMD, and to Apple's M-series chips. Qualcomm's push, backed by Microsoft's Copilot+ AI PC strategy, aims to reboot the Windows on ARM ecosystem. Qualcomm has also confirmed plans to bring the Snapdragon X Elite to desktop PCs, expanding its reach across all PC form factors.
