Jackery, a global maker of portable solar generators, has officially entered the Philippine market. The company is now offering its solar-powered charging products to Filipino consumers, starting with online sales through local gadget retailer Techroom. Founded in 2012 by a former Apple battery engineer, Jackery specializes in portable power stations and solar panels designed for home backup, outdoor use, and mobile work setups. The brand focuses on battery-powered solutions that work without fuel, noise, or emissions, making them suitable for indoor and outdoor use. These systems are designed to support everyday devices such as smartphones, laptops, and small appliances during power outages or while traveling. The first model available is the Explorer 100 Plus, a compact power station with a 99Wh battery capacity. It can charge multiple devices at the same time and is aimed at users who need portable power for work, travel, or emergencies. The Bases Conversion and Development Authority has teamed up with Saudi Arabia-based Acwa Power to build a massive solar power and battery storage facility in New Clark City.
