Sony has unveiled their latest flagship smartphones at MWC 2018 – the Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact. It sports a Full HD+ HDR 18:9 display, Motion Eye camera, and powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with Gigabit LTE, and Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Undeniably, Sony offers new phones with a bit of design spark and powerful internals. For his part, Totoki believes that the Sony Mobile division just needs to reevaluate its strategies in order to get back on track. Only time will tell if Totoki’s new game plan will bode well for Sony’s struggling mobile division, but they have to act soon because there are a lot of brands, both established and new ones, who are eager to fill the void that the Japanese firm will leave behind.
