Peter Rubin of Wired recently had an exclusive interview with Sony’s Mark Cerny, the lead architect for the PS4 and PSVita, who seems to now be taking the same role for the next-generation PlayStation console. Sony Philippines has finally celebrated the official entry of the PlayStation to the Philippines. Sony is bringing the PlayStation 3 and the PSP as well as several games for the console starting today. PlayStation will be available in Sony Centre Parksquare, Sony Centre Gateway, Sony Centre Megamall, Sony Centre Trinoma, Sony Centre Shangri-la, Sony Centre Ermita, Sony Centre Festival Mall, Sony Experience Corner at Anson's Makati Ave. The PSP Go and the PlayStation Network was not launched together with the PlayStation and PSP but Sony promises to update us once they are ready to introduce them too. Sony said it is working on bringing AI-powered frame generation to PlayStation in the future to improve game performance without needing stronger hardware. In an interview, PlayStation lead system architect Mark Cerny shared that Sony is working closely with AMD on this feature. Sony already has a feature called PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, which uses similar ideas.
