As of December 4, 2019, the Vivo Y17 received another price markdown and was available nationwide for PHP 9,999. This was down from its previous price of PHP 10,999 in October 2019 and its original launch price of PHP 12,999 in May 2019.

The Vivo Y17 features a 6.35-inch HD+ IPS display, an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. It has a triple rear camera system (13MP main + 8MP wide-angle + 2MP depth), a 20MP front camera, a rear fingerprint scanner, and runs on Android 9 Pie. Its standout feature is the large 5,000mAh battery with 18W dual-engine fast charging.

Based on our review and tests, the Vivo Y17's 8MP AI wide-angle camera (with a 120-degree field of view) was capable of capturing vivid, scenic shots with a vast range, useful for landscapes and group photos, though with a slight fish-eye effect. The 20MP front camera produces decent selfies for social media, especially with the standard AI beauty setting. The triple-camera setup offered versatility for an entry-level phone at the time.
