WhatsApp is rolling out a privacy feature that allows users to hide the "last seen" status to certain contacts. This feature has been in active development for a few months but has now been released in its beta version for specific beta testers. In order to verify if the feature is available to you and your account, check it in your Privacy Settings to see if the option is ready to use. When you select "My contacts except..." you can choose those who can see your information on WhatsApp. If the feature is not available on your app, you may see it in the upcoming future as it is still in its beta stages. WhatsApp has rolled out a feature that would allow users to link their account to a different device and still receive and send messages without their smartphone being connected. Previously, the smartphone still had to be connected to the internet in order to receive and give out messages, but with the new update, this feature will not require your smartphone an internet connection. Once enabling this "Beta" feature, it will allow up to 4 devices to receive end-to-end encrypted messages and calls of up to 14 days when the smartphone goes offline.
