X has launched Chat, a new and more private version of Direct Messages. Chat lets users talk in one-on-one or group conversations with end-to-end encryption, meaning only the sender and receiver can read the messages. When Chat is set up, the app creates special encryption keys protected by a PIN stored only on the user’s device. While Android support is coming soon, Chat is now available on iOS and Web.
