The platform is set to launch later this year, allowing users to make payments within the app. The partnership will enable users to add money instantly via Visa Direct, link debit cards for peer-to-peer payments, and transfer funds directly to their bank accounts. Yaccarino also hinted that more major announcements regarding X Money are coming this year, suggesting that the platform is planning to expand its financial ecosystem beyond just payments. Visa and GoTyme Bank have entered a multi-year partnership aimed at accelerating the adoption of digital payments in the Philippines, South Africa, and future Southeast Asian markets. Under the deal, Visa will support GoTyme Group’s regional growth through enhanced card-issuance programs, joint marketing initiatives, improved digital infrastructure, and data-driven financial solutions. Both companies said the collaboration is geared toward strengthening secure, seamless, and inclusive payment systems in emerging markets where digital transactions continue to rise. Visa Philippines Country Manager Jeffrey Navarro said the partnership aligns with Visa’s efforts to promote financial inclusion and broaden digital access. He added that connecting Filipino consumers and small businesses to global payments infrastructure remains a key priority.
