Xiaomi Pad 5

The Xiaomi Pad 5 was officially launched at PHP 17,990 for the 6GB + 128GB variant and PHP 19,990 for the 6GB + 256GB model. An early bird promo offered the 128GB version at PHP 14,990 with a free Xiaomi Smart Pen exclusively on Lazada on September 24, 2021.

Based on our hands-on, the Xiaomi Pad 5 sports an 11-inch WQHD+ (2560 x 1600) IPS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of non-expandable UFS 3.1 storage. It has a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, quad speakers with Dolby Atmos, an 8,720mAh battery with 33W fast charging, and runs MIUI 12.5 for Pad based on Android 11. It is a Wi-Fi-only tablet.

In comparisons with other tablets under PHP 20,000, the Xiaomi Pad 5 often held advantages in display smoothness (120Hz refresh rate), processor performance (Snapdragon 860), and battery capacity (8,720mAh with 33W charging). However, competitors like the Lenovo Tab P11 Plus and realme Pad offered advantages like LTE connectivity, expandable storage via microSD, and, in some cases, a bundled stylus, which the Xiaomi Pad 5 did not include by default.
