Xiaomi recently launched two new selfie-centric smartphones to the Redmi line in a press event in New Delhi, India. These aren't necessarily new handsets though but rather rebrands of their Chinese counterparts, The Redmi Y1 is a rebrand of the Redmi Note 5A (which we already reviewed here) while the Redmi Y1 Lite is a rebrand of the Redmi Note 5A Prime. 8,999 (~Php 7,145.83) for the 3GB+32GB variant while the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite is priced at Rs. We already have the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A locally (See listing here), as for the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite (Redmi Note 5A Prime) local availability and pricing for the device are yet to be announced. Xiaomi now joins the selfie game with the introduction of their new Redmi Note 5A smartphone, equipped with a 16-megapixel front camera and Android Nougat skinned with the company's proprietary MIUI software. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A has been confirmed to be released at an event in China on August 21. Camera-wise, the Redmi Note 5A will feature a 16MP rear camera and a 13MP front camera, while the other version will feature a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
