Xiaomi today pulled back the curtain on its PU7 electric SUV in China, marking a bold step to challenge Tesla’s Model Y in the world’s largest EV market. Xiaomi has equipped the PU7 with high-voltage 800 V architecture—peaking at 897 V—to enable ultra-fast charging, taking the battery from 10 % to 80 % in 12 minutes or adding 385 miles (620 km) of range in 15 minutes. With reservations set to open this summer and deliveries to follow in late 2025, Xiaomi is betting big on the PU7 to wrest market share from Tesla. Following the availability of the Redmi few days ago, Lazada is now offering the flagship Xiaomi Mi3 for under Php15K. Popular Chinese consumer electronics company, Xiaomi, has announced that it is set to introduce its products to ten new markets, including the Philippines, this 2014.
