ASUS is giving consumers a treat today as they drop the price of two of their budget contenders -- the ZenFone Max Plus and Max M1. The ZenFone Max Plus is now at Php 8,995 from Php 11,995. The ZenFone Max M1, on the other hand, is now priced at Php 8,495 from Php 8,995. I think we're a bit fortunate to have 3 competing WiMax providers in the Philippines -- there's Globe, Smart and Liberty Telecoms. A couple of days ago, I attended a WiMax forum hosted by Intel Philippines. In the Philippines, commercial WiMax is allocated at the 2.3GHz and the 2.5GHz band with 15-30MHz spectrum size.
