BIR and GCash relaunch E-tax filing and payment system

The BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue), in partnership with GCash mobile money service, re-launches the electronic filing and payment system here in the Philippines with the main intention of improving tax administration and curbing corruption.

The service is for all Globe/TM subscribers that are registered to its GCash service. With it, taxpayers could use their phones to pay for all types of taxes and would no longer need to go to the BIR Regional District Offices or appointed banks.

Here’s how you can use this service:

• Download the GCash app
• Register
• Put money in your GCash account via any GCash Partner Outlet
• Initiate payment thru the GCash app.
