Globe drops Tattoo Prepaid stick price to Php995

In a press release sent just now, Globe announced that they are lowering the prepaid price of their Tattoo Prepaid USB dongle to only Php995.

Not exactly sure how much it was before but as far as I can remember, it used to be around Php1,245.

The Globe-powered Tattoo has just upped the ante on its popular broadband stick, dropping the price to just Php995 and packing it chock-full with 120 hours of surfing good for 5 days.

The price drop was made effective since last week The 120 free hours has a value of Php250 (when converted to SuperSurf50).

Globe Tattoo sticks started out in the Php3k price range when they were first introduced in the market many years ago.

The kit comes with a Tattoo Broadband USB Device, SIM pack, USB cable, and user manual. To activate the 5 days free surfing, just send FREE120 to 8888 via the dialer.

(Note: Globe used to offer Php895 with Php100 free load as early as last year but that was on a limited or promo basis. This one looks like it’s a permanent price cut.)

  1. Ohh my! muntik ko na bilhin yung Globe tattoo ng friend ko worth 1k hehehe at least ito brand new.. thanks for the info sir!

  2. I used to be a regular Globe Tattoo Broadband user until they implemented a broadband cap of 800mb a day for prepaid users. Too bad. I am now a regular Smart Bro prepaid user and its fast naman in the areas where I use it – Pasig City (Ortigas Center, at home, Fonterra Verde area), Mandaluyong City (SM MegaMall and Shangrila)Quezon City (Eastwood, Trinoma,SM North EDSA), Makati City (Makati Central Business District, Glorietta and Greenbelt) and Taguig (Fort Bonifacio Global City).

When I conducted my own speed test (thru http://www.speedtest.net) Smart Bro is faster than Globe Tattoo. If only Globe will take away that 800mb broadband cap I will use Globe Tattoo again.

  3. I’m guessing this is a reaction to the recent survey/study that placed them at the bottom of the list of mobile internet sticks when it came to speed/quality.

for only 200 pesos i get 2mbps(up to 7mbps if hspa+) unlimited internet per month haha.

    • good work poche ipagyabang mo pa
be proud of what you did!
      burn in hell poche!

  5. I got the offer last 2009 895Php and there are 2 100 Peso Load Free :D the first Globe Tattoo i bought and the last one :D. Since then i use different andriod phones for connection much easier and sometime faster then broadband.

  6. this is definetely good news for new users of
    wi-free unlimited internet

  7. I use Globe DSL and it’s OK. I tried Tattoo once but it just doesn’t break it in my area.

  8. (Note: Globe used to offer Php895 with Php100 free load as early as last year but that was on a limited or promo basis. This one looks like it’s a permanent price cut.)

^this used to be the price… now globe is saying its reduced to P995… common globe???

Thats simple economics, if the Price is high then the demand is low but if the price is lower then the demand is high.

  10. I presumed that, it is their strategy of attracting more subscribers to shift to Globe Tattoo.

  11. I think I bought mine @P895. That was probably a year ago. Used to be the cheapest in the market. :)

  12. Would like to try Sun Broadband for a change :)

  13. its a promo, not permanent

“Promo period is from July 23 to August 8, 2011 per DTI-NCR Permit No. 6624, Series of 2011”

  14. I bought both smart/globe tattoo sticks a year and a half ago but all simply didn’t wrk. I am more interested in sharing wireless network at our office even though it’s slow and losses connection most of the day at least don’t have to pay for the crap (stick and load). :))

  15. want a much affordable internet using your smart/globe stick even 0 load!!! i mean… wala talgang load…

we are offering unlimited 1 month subscription of internet using ur globe/smart modem stick even without a load in globe!!! & P1.00 maintaning balance in smart!!! for only 200.00/ month!!! inquire now!!! by the way in metro manila area in near by city only!!! by the way im king!!! for inquiry and subscription txt or call: 092229*****/092743*****

  16. with the 800MB cap. where the F is the “unlimited” in that? TSK TSK. miss leading advertising. then when you complain. they slap you with the fine print. TSK TSK.
