Globe My Fully Loaded Plan

Listen to article

Had a short meeting with reps of Globe this afternoon to talk about their My Fully Loaded Plan, a new postpaid scheme that allows subscribers to choose consumable amount, up to 9 freebies and a selection of handsets.

Since June 29, Globe introduced a new set of base plans, starting with consumable amounts.

Step 1: Pick a Plan
Plan 299 – Php299 consumable per month
Plan 499 – Php499 consumable per month
Plan 999 – Php999 consumable per month
Plan 1799 – Php1799 consumable per month
Plan 2499 – Php2499 consumable per month
Plan 3799 – Php3799 consumable per month

Each plan has a corresponding number of freebies (up to 9) that you can choose from among 6 choices.

Step 2: Pick a Monthly Freebie
A. Free Calls (10 minutes) and Free SMS (200) to Globe/TM number.
B. Free Calls (5 minutes) and Free SMS (25) to other Networks
C. Free IDD Calls (20 minutes) and Free SMS (10) to 10 countries*
D. Free Mobile Internet Surfing (3 hours)
E. Free Super One Unlimited Call & Text to 1 Globe/TM Number
F. Free Super Surf

Plan 299 – Pick 1 Freebies between A to D
Plan 499 – Pick 2 Freebies between A to D
Plan 999 – Pick 3 Freebies between A to E
Plan 1799 – Pick 5 Freebies between A to E
Plan 2499 – Pick 7 Freebies between A to E
Plan 3799 – Pick 9 Freebies between A to E (or get F only)

The Freebies are recurring every month and you can combine any of the choices. For example, if I am on Plan 1799 — I can pick 2 x A, 2 x E and 1 x C. Or, I can just pick 5 x A to get 50 free minutes and 1,000 free SMS.

The catch here is that you can actually change your freebies every month. All you need to do is call the hotline and ask that you want to change your monthly freebies to another set you like.

Step 3: Pick a Free Handset

You can get a Nokia 1680 on Plan 299 or get an iPhone 3GS on Plan 3799.

Here are some real-world scenarios for a My Fully Loaded Plan:

Plan 299 = Php299 usable credits + 200 SMS + 10 minutes call [Freebie A] = ~ Php560 value

Plan 499 = Php499 usable credits + 2 * (200 SMS + 10 minutes call) [2 * Freebie A] = ~Php1,000 value

Plan 999 = Php999 usable credits + 3 * (200 SMS + 10 minutes call) [3 * Freebie A] = ~Php1,800 value

The My Fully Loaded Plans are basically your G-Flex Plan + Freebies.

Globe has started migrating to this new Subscription Plans and offer it to new and existing subscribers. One can stick with their existing plan or move into this new plan anytime.

* Countries include US, Canada, Guam, Hawaii, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Thailand
** Plan 299 and Plan499 can get (E) Super One using the Php100 consumable amount.
*** Freebies and consumable amount have a 30 day term from activation period and expires at end of billing cycle.

I was trying to avail of this plan, and was asking a customer representative from Globe if I can still use the 499 as a regular load, she told me that the Freebies will be the credits I’ll be using for the whole month… So I’ll be paying just for the freebies and handsets… She said yes and I backed out… She is so confusing!

@Coco
Based on my experience as a GFlex subscriber, not all VAS and promos are charged on top of the MSF. For example, the IDD promo using the 12800 prefix can be availed using your consumable. I think those unlimited promos such as super duo and those that can be misused such as share-a-load are on top of the consumable amount. To be certain, just go a Globe wireless center nearest to your location. Don’t bother with the CSRs because most of the time, they are not updated.

@Coco
Yes, unfortunately VAS are charged on top of the MSF.

Anyway, I still like these new plans basically because of the lowest consumable plan which is now available which is plan 299. Unlike the previous GFlex plans, the lowest is Plan 800 (the other lower plans are just extension plans).

I envy you coco. I’m still under contract for the next 7 months that’s why I still can’t downgrade my current plan hehe.

@Jaypee
Is that so? Then I was mis-informed.

In any case, even if it’s charged on top of your MSF I think I get better value for money out of this.

In the old plan, your MSF is effectively theirs already, with some minutes and free sms thrown in. Now, you can get free minutes and/or sms, etcetera, and you get to consume that MSF.

Kakatawag ko lang uli sa hotline nila and the agent told me that VAS/promos such as the one I mentioned on my post above will be charged on top of the MSF. So if for you’re on Plan 299 and you availed of Superduo, your bill will be 299+499 (assuming you did not exceed the 299 consumable part for calls,texts, internet).

@Nik and Coco
Strange, I also asked that sa CS hotline nila and to their FB globe agent and they said that it will be charged on top of the MSF.

I assume that what they told me was correct since, like GFlex which is also a consumable postpaid plan, those services are charged on top of the MSF.

@Nik

I had the same question. I just got off the phone and downgraded my service plan to P299, parang mas sulit sa akin ito eh.

According to the agent, it will be deducted from your P299 credit, and not on top of your MSF. Further, any service fees is first deducted against any available credits. I asked if this includes, for example, any add-on service like Duo and she answered in the affirmative.

For example, you’re on Plan 999 and and availed of Super Duo which is P499 per month, you still have P500 worth of consumable credits available for use.

Agent reminded me that I cannot revert to my old plan any more.

Type ko ito ah. I don’t use my Globe phone as much as I used to.

Halimbawa I downgrade to Plan299+Freebie A, tapos nag-share-a-load ako. Will it be correct to assume that it will be charged against my 299 instead of on top of my MSF?

I really like the Plan 299. Too bad I’m still under contract and still got 7 months to go before my contract ends. All I can do for now is an upgrade or lateral change. But count me in for Plan 299. FTW!!

This i like. I’ll get the 299 plan. Nothing worse than car breaking down in the middle of nowhere and realized you’re out of load.

Should I now leave the safety and freedom of prepaid and succumb to 299/month? This may be worth maintaining if just for the unlimited and automatic roaming.

There is nothing worse than being abroad and moving from country to country for work only to find out your Php3,500 worth of load was eaten up by several roaming charges after only 5 days and some text messages.

This may be the answer to my prayers.

salamat sa nag-clarify, naintindihan ko na yung new plan nila.

In that case.. sulit yung P299.. plus whatever freebies that suits the user.

Ayaw lang talaga nila na mag-offer ng unlimited ala Sun ha… But the monthly is somewhat competitive na.

Minsan kase sa daming pagpipilian, mas nalilito yung consumer. Sa halip na ma-appreciate, lalong umaayaw!

if you are on PLAN 3799 with free iPhone, you get free SuperSurf. if you really need Super Duo which is P450 on top of the plan, the monthly service fee amounts to P4,249

Reply

nexus3g · 16 years ago

so ITS NOT FULLY CONSUMABLE coz when you subscribe to Super Duo, it is charged ON TOP of the monthly service fee.

Thanks for clearing things up guys. It was really confusing the heck outta me. It seems a whole lot better now.

Called Globe CSR and he did say registering to SUPERDUO, SUPERTXT, DUO etc. will go ON TOP of your bill. If you register to MySuper one it will be deducted from your consumables and that will be considered your freebie for the month for plan 299.

Good news: 1. At least plan 299 has roaming unlike smart Gold Lite’s 300 and 500 plans. 2. add on’s like Superduo will be charged old postpaid rates unlike Superplan that charges like prepaid. Ex. Superduo 499, Supertxt 299 for Fully loaded plan

so many confused people.. Globe needs to do a better job at communicating/phrasing their offers

the peso amount is supposed to be consumable. it’s on top of all those free texts and calls. in other words a plan is like this:

MONEY + Freebies

299 + (1 freebie)
499 + (2 freebies)
etc.

what freebies you can choose from depends on how much your plan is

Here are some real-world scenarios for a My Fully Loaded Plan:

Plan 299 = Php299 usable credits + 200 SMS + 10 minutes call (Freebie A) = ~ Php560 value

Plan 499 = Php499 usable credits + 400 SMS + 20 minutes call (2 * Freebie A) = ~Php1,000 value

@loadex you’re getting this totally wrong :)

That’s just the plan’s freebie. So let’s say you chose Plan 299:

That’s P299 worth of consumable credits + 200 free texts + 10 minutes worth of call to Globe/TM.

For P299, you get around P560 worth of credits. That’s supposed to be enough for average users who, let’s say, sends a total number of 10 texts/day and calls someone only for emergency situations.

To sum it all up, if you’re a prepaid subscriber who accumulates and uses up a total of P300 reload credits/month, tapos puro Globe ang contacts mo, sulit na din to.

But other call and text promos are way more reasonable, like for example, immortal15 gives you 50 texts + 5 mins. of calls, just for P15.

Hmm although the ad says consumable plans, is it really fully consumable? Take note that their previous GFlex Plans says “All-Consumable” but if a gflex subscriber, for example, registered to superduo (that’s P499), the P499 fee will be charged on top of the MSF and will not be part of the consumable plan. Will these Fully Loaded Plans follow the same mechanics?

Reply

Calvin · 16 years ago

@kinny, aside from that you can still get the P299 consumable. so parang prepaid din pero with your own choice of freebies per month.

The good in this is its consumable.. Unlike to regular plan that all charges is on top of the bill.

Reply

I don’t know what I can say about their new plans, my understanding is unlike before (the old plans) that they give consumable amount + free text / free minutes + free text, now its consumable amount + pick a ‘freebie’. Mas maganda ata na tawagin na addon nalang.

Confusing at first, pero nakita ko yung idea that Globe is introducing. Its being ‘flexible’.

BTW, telcos are now lowering their lowest plans now ah. From plan P500, now we see going back to plan 299 (or 250 for sun – only on the provinces).

This is ridiculous! Package A and B are laughable. Why not stick to prepaid which gives better deals and lets you use your credits the way you want? They should not have phased out their GPlans and GFlex.

299 for 10 mins calls and 200 texts Globe to globe OR 5 mins and 25 texts other NW’s? How pathetic is that?! Oh and don’t forget the prepaid rates for going over meager limit.

The smart thing to do is get prepaid of all networks and a triple sim phone if you don’t like carrying multiples. Calling will be so much cheaper.

this madness does not appeal to me. what are those freebies? 10 minutes free call? 25 free text messages? come on..

would you guys know if the consumable amount can be converted to their Duo service?
for instance, Plan 999 consumable, convert P450 for super duo, remaining amount for unlitext like those in prepaid.

Reply
LO
loadex · 16 years ago

at P299.. it seems prepaid is better. the 200 free text and 10 minutes call (choosing freebie A) is more expensive.

a prepaid 300 can give 200 text ALL network pa, and more than 10 minutes kung i-compute natin yung remaining 100 pesos na natitira.

Looks like plan Plan 299 up to Plan 499 – Plan 999 will appeal to college students while the rest of the plans for yuppies and the working group.
