Globe offers Plan 499: Unlimited calls & texts + 3GB data

Listen to article

If you’re looking to switch to postpaid but worried about the cost of shelling out money every month for two years, check out the new plan from Globe for a good deal of call and text plus a sizable amount of data.

lifestyle-plan-499

The myLifestyle Plan 499 (Line-only) gives you unlimited calls and texts to Globe/TM and 3GB of mobile data. And, there’s no need to worry about the standard 24-month contract because the plan has no contract period. You may cut the line anytime you wish.

Upon application, you’ll also get the following freebies:

  • 3 months 1GB Spotify Premium or HOOQ
  • A choice between Navigation Pack, Explore Pack, or Fitness Pack for 1 month
  • 1GB Globe Cloud

Since this is a line-only plan, you won’t get a free device. Also, the offer is until November 30 only.

The plan is a steal for those who wish to leave prepaid and start postpaid lifestyle for just P17/day without the lengthy commitment. You may apply through Globe’s online shop or visit any Globe store for application.

data would be dependent on your handset. if your handset supports LTE or LTE-A then un signal makkukuha mo. its area dependent too

Is this 3GB mobile data LTE, or 3G lang?

Yung bill statement ba nito is the same with other postpaid plans? Under sa name mo with the billing address? I really need a bill under my name

I am a subscriber of this plan, and yes it’s under my Name. But my concern is the address, di pa nila naaayos. Haba kasi address ko.

Meh. What’s the point of all this mobile data promo if their mobile internet speed remains horrible?

there’s a catch btw, I switch to this plan just today and asked the loyalty about any fine print

(1) they can terminate the promo at anytime. meaning you’ll lose this promo line as well since it’s open contract (someone try to reconfirm this)
(2) no rebates (or free phone as mentioned) since no contract lock in (not that they are offering anything useful anyway, plan 599’s rebate decreased from 200 to just 125, no rebates on plan 499)

You won’t lose this plan as long as you stay with it.

Panalo yung Free 3GB. I only use 1.5GB a month due to wifi at home and office. The additional 1.5GB is perfect for streaming. Hehe. Thanks Yugatech!

Smart’s Freedom Plan is still better IMO. Mas flexible in terms of changing text/call/data buckets. No fixed monthly cost pa. Though I’m glad Globe is somehow offering a similar plan.

Not a Smart paid hack, just my dos sentimos. :)

I think sulit ito. Yung plan P499 nila kasi eh unlimited Globe/TM text and call lang. For the same price dinagdagan na nila ng data.

Problem is, Smart stopped offering Freedom Plan earlier this year, Plan 250 na yung pinalit which is Unli Smart to Smart Text and Call and 100 MB of data, not bad pa din.

The smart plan 250 is unli text to globe, smart and sun. I have one. 100mb lamg nga data…

@Jack
I didn’t know until now that Smart stopped offering the Freedom Plan though. Thanks for the heads up.
