LG to introduce its Real 8K TV lineup at CES 2020

LG Electronics is set to introduce its new lineup of Real 8K TVs at CES 2020, happening in Las Vegas.

LG’s includes two OLED TVs in 88-inch and 77-inch sizes and six NanoCell LCD TVs in 75-inch and 65-inch sizes. The new TV models are capable of playing native 8K content and can also handle HEVC, VP9, and YouTube’s AV1 codec. The 8K TVs also support 8K content streaming at 60fps and deliver 8K 60P over HDMI. Not only that, but the 8K displays will also feature the Alpha 9 Gen 3 AI Processor that can optimize picture and sound for 8K upscaling and sharpening. The displays also have AI Sound Pro that can classify audio content.

Through the LG 8K TVs, users can also monitor and control compatible IoT devices from the Home Dashboard, and also allows users to have Hand-Free Voice Control. The displays also sport LG’s webOS, and have support for Apple AirPlay 2, HomeKit, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa. Amazon Alexa Premium Far-Fiel Voice compatibility will also be available in the future.

LG will unveil pricing details and availability of the 8K TVs at CES 2020, happening on January 7 to 10, in Las Vegas.
