Samsung Smart Monitor M7, M5 now available in PH

Samsung Philippines has announced the availability of its latest displays, the Smart Monitor M7 and M5.

The new Samsung Smart Monitor sports mobile and PC connectivity, remote home office, learning features, and the Smart Hub, a comprehensive entertainment hub, similar to the brand’s built-in Smart TV platform. It is equipped with various connectivity options for both PCs and smartphones. Users can connect their personal mobile devices through Tap View, App Casting, or Apple AirPlay. However, users may also connect to the monitor using a mobile device with Samsung DeX.

The Smart Monitor features Adaptive Picture to optimize the screen’s picture quality for any viewing environment. It automatically adjusts brightness and color temperature under different room conditions. The monitor also has a special eye-saver mode to reduce blue light for eye protection. It comes in two models: the M7 (32-inch) that supports Ultra-High Definition (UHD) resolution and the M5 (available in 27-inch or 32-inch) with an FHD resolution.

It allows users to operate Microsoft Office 365 applications even without a PC connection with its embedded Wi-Fi, allowing users to view, edit, and save documents in the cloud directly from the monitor. It supports remote access allowing users to wirelessly access files from a PC and view contents from laptops. It comes with multiple USB ports, Bluetooth 4.2, and a built-in two-channel speaker. It also has a USB Type C port for data, display, and power — up to 65W — with a single connection.

Moreover, it comes with an app store that allows users to access Netflix, HBO, and YouTube. It includes a remote control with streaming service hotkeys and can also be controlled by voice with the Bixby integration.

The Samsung Smart Monitor M7 (32-inch) comes with a price tag of PHP 28,999. On the other hand, the M5 27-inch is priced at PHP 18,999, while the 32-inch retails at PHP 22,999. Early-bird buyers who will purchase the Samsung Smart Monitor until March 31 will get a premium Logitech MK120 keyboard and mouse set worth PHP 1,000 and a 1-year Viu premium subscription. The Samsung Smart Monitor is now available for purchase in all major retail outlets.
