Starmobile’s parent company launches Starcube Digital TV box

STAR, Inc., the parent company of Starmobile, has just announced a TV black box to let you join the digital TV shift.

The Starcube Digital TV box is a familiar looking chassis you just simply plug into your existing old TV set, may it be an LED TV and the old CRT model. The Starcube has a few key features under its sleeves like the so-called Active Antenna that promises 2x better reception and Full HD capability, where available, with its HDMI connectivity.

It supports playback from a thumb drive through the USB 2.0 port and has screen recording feature as well. Other features include electronic program guide (EPG) and Time Shift.

The device is slated to be available starting the second week of February for an introductory price of Php1,290 with a regular price of Php1,490.
