DJI Philippines has released the Osmo Mobile 8 smartphone gimbal locally. The new model adds 360-degree unlimited horizontal rotation on top of its 3-axis stabilization, plus upgraded tracking and longer battery life.
ActiveTrack 7.0 now supports pet tracking for cats and dogs. The gimbal also works with Apple DockKit so you can use subject tracking in the iPhone’s native camera app and in over 200 iOS apps. DJI says the built-in 3,350 mAh battery can last up to 10 hours.
There is a USB-C port for charging, an integrated extension rod and tripod, Bluetooth 5.3, and seamless pairing with DJI wireless microphones. A standard 1/4-inch mount on the back keeps it compatible with third-party tripods and accessories. Control and tuning are available in the DJI Mimo app.
