In celebration of Back to the Future Day (October 21, 2015), Nike has officially introduced the 2015 Nike Mag – the real-life version of the futuristic self-tying sneakers worn by Marty McFly in the film Back to the Future Part II in 1989.
Unlike the first Nike Mag replicas released in 2011, the 2015 model features a working self-tying mechanism. The first pair was recently sent to Michael J. Fox. See embedded image below.

Like the old Nike Mag, the 2015 Nike Mag is also a limited edition release and will only be available via auction which will happen in 2016 with all proceeds going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
