0:00Infin is ready to set sail to their
0:02newest smartphone lineup, the Infinix
0:04Hot 60 series. So far, this consists of
0:07the Infin Hot 60 Pro and the Infin Hot
0:1160 Pro Plus. If you clicked on this
0:13video, you probably know what the full
0:15focus of this review is. It’s the Infin
0:18Hot 60 Pro Plus if you want to be fully
0:20sure or you know, right there. last
0:22year, its predecessor, the Infinix Hot
0:2550 Pro Plus, with its slim build and
0:27decent cameras while having a fluid
0:29curved display. How does the latest
0:31iteration hold up? What’s the
0:32difference? We’re going to tell you all
0:34about it in our full review. I’m your
0:36host, CJ. Let’s get right into it.
0:39[Music]
0:45Right off the bat, I have to say that
0:47Infinix has gone the extra mile with the
0:49Infin Hot 60 Pro Plus. It really is a
0:51thin smartphone going at 5.95 mm. This
0:55is almost a millimeter thinner than the
0:57Hot 50 Pro, which is at 6.8 mm. It’s
1:00pretty neat that this device can handle
1:02a lot with how thin and light it is,
1:04too. Weighing at around 155 g. Another
1:07addition is that it has an IP65 rating
1:09for dust and water resistance and comes
1:11with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The Hot
1:1460 Pro Plus looks very similar to its
1:16predecessor to the point that I thought
1:18they were identical at first. The slight
1:20difference is that last year’s version
1:22has a camera island with small ridges
1:24around it. Meanwhile, with the Hot 60
1:26Pro Plus, you get a smaller island with
1:28smoother edges and the power button
1:30being green. Speaking of the power
1:32button, for buttons and ports, you get
1:34the volume rocker and power button on
1:35the right side, while the bottom has the
1:37two speakers, the SIM card tray, and the
1:40USB type-C port. The top has the mic and
1:42the other half of the two speakers. It
1:44also remind you that the phone sound is
1:46by JBL, but we’ll talk about that soon.
1:49All in all, I’m surprised to be holding
1:51a phone this thin that doesn’t weigh all
1:53that much either. It’s actually pretty
1:56cool. Flipping over to the front and
1:57you’re greeted by a 6.78 in 3D curve
2:00LTPS AMOLED panel. Like I mentioned
2:03earlier, it’s got Corning Gorilla Glass
2:047i protecting it and a refresh rate of
2:07up to 144 hertz. As an entry-level
2:09smartphone, it’s great to see a device
2:12with a high refresh rate. Along with
2:13this, it has a peak brightness of 1600
2:15nits, which should be fine for broad
2:17daylight usage. Thanks to its AMOLED
2:19display, you get to see true blacks and
2:21vivid colors when checking out the
2:23different forms of media. In my case, I
2:26caught up with shows that I missed and
2:27scrolled through YouTube with the Hot 60
2:29Pro Plus. However, as a curved display
2:32with a thin profile, there is a slight
2:34double-edged sword. Depending on how you
2:36handle the phone, there could be a
2:38chance of accidental touches, especially
2:40when holding it in landscape position.
2:42for me. This means there are times where
2:44I either minimize the video while
2:45watching it in full screen. There was a
2:47bit of an adjustment period, but it
2:49happens less frequently now, but that
2:51could be me nitpicking here. Anyway, for
2:53the audio of the Infinix Hot 60 Pro
2:55Plus, it’s pretty decent. It’s loud to
2:57fill a room, has great clarity and good
2:59mids, but it doesn’t have that much of a
3:01punchy bass. Nonetheless, it was able to
3:04keep me immersed with the media that I’m
3:05watching or the game that I’m playing.
3:07For biometrics, you get an indisplay
3:09fingerprint sensor and face unlock. Both
3:11can unlock the device the second you
3:12press your prints on the screen or show
3:14your face of the camera. Which brings me
3:16to my next topic. Surprisingly enough,
3:18despite it appearing to have a triple
3:20rear camera setup, the Infinix Hot 60
3:22Pro Plus only comes with a 50 megapixel
3:24IMX 882 rear camera. This is a bit of a
3:27downgrade compared to the Hot 50 Pro
3:29Plus as it comes with an additional 2
3:31megapixel depth sensor. Meanwhile, you
3:34still get a 13 megapixel selfie shooter.
3:36For video recording, both the front and
3:38the rear can shoot at 2K at 30 frames
3:40per second. Don’t let this lower your
3:41expectations, though, despite it only
3:43having technically one lens. It doesn’t
3:46disappoint with its shots. The 50
3:47megapixel is really putting in the work
3:49as images come out surprisingly decent.
3:52It’s able to decently replicate colors
3:54of the subject, especially in a well-lit
3:56environment, while being able to capture
3:57as much detail as it could. If that
3:59isn’t enough, the Hot 60 Pro Plus comes
4:02with the company’s proprietary AI Studio
4:04where you can sharpen, erase, and extend
4:06images. There is a catch, though. Dimly
4:08lit environments aren’t the best with
4:10the smartphone, as details aren’t
4:12captured properly, and can come off
4:14blurry, too. There’s no OIS on the
4:16device, so if you have shaky hands, it
4:18may affect the shot you’re trying to
4:19capture. You can be the judge of it,
4:21though, as we’ll leave our sample shots
4:23and video right here.
4:25[Music]
4:50The Infin Hot 60 Pro Plus is powered by
4:52the MediaTek Helio G200 processor and
4:55has an ARM Mali G50. 57 MC2 GPU. Our
4:58review unit comes with 8 GB of RAM and
5:00256 GB of storage. You can extend the
5:03RAM up to 8 GB, too, giving you a total
5:05of 16 GB of RAM. The device can handle
5:08casual games like Pokémonite, Call of
5:10Duty Mobile, and Uma Musum without any
5:12issue at their highest graphics
5:14settings. There were a bit of stutters
5:16at first, but everything went smoothly
5:18shortly after, especially with Infinix’s
5:20X Arena on. This is the company’s game
5:22booster that helps enhance the user’s
5:24gaming experience by optimizing an app’s
5:27performance. This comes really handy,
5:29especially with graphically intensive
5:30titles like Hong Kong Star Rail, Zenless
5:33Zone Zero, Weathering Waves, and the new
5:35release Persona 5: The Phantom X. For
5:38context, I played the affforementioned
5:39games on their lowest settings. Without
5:41the booster on, I’ve experienced a lot
5:43of lag, especially with graphics from
5:45Withering Waves and Zenless Zone Zero,
5:47stuttering when my character activates
5:48their skills and ultimate moves.
5:50Meanwhile, for Hongkey and Persona 5,
5:53going to the city was a challenge as the
5:55game tends to freeze for a bit when
5:57navigating around. With X Arena on, it’s
6:00able to negate most of my lag issues,
6:02but it still run on the lowest settings.
6:04More intensive combat like Withering
6:06Waves and Zenless Zero lag a bit every
6:08now and then, but it’s way playable
6:10compared to when the booster was off.
6:12Still, if you’re expecting to play
6:14graphic heavy titles at the maximum
6:15quality, I wouldn’t get my hopes up.
6:18Either way, here are our benchmark
6:19results that we garnered from the phone.
6:25[Music]
6:31The Hot 60 Pro Plus runs on the XOS 15.1
6:34based on Android 15 out of the box.
6:36Unfortunately, the phone does come with
6:38a lot of bloatware in their own folders.
6:40They can be removed, but it might be
6:42annoying to some users. with the
6:44devices’s 144 hertz refresh rate. You
6:46get snappy animations and even blur
6:48effects on the notifications and control
6:50panels. As mentioned earlier, you get a
6:53bunch of features like AI Studio, AI
6:55image extender, AI eraser, and AI
6:58sharpness plus. A neat feature is AI
7:00Vogue portraits where you can grab
7:01images from your gallery, crop the
7:03subject, and create a new wallpaper with
7:05them. There’s also circle to search, X
7:08Arena, and the dynamic bar that other
7:10Infinix users will be familiar with that
7:12display information like screen
7:14recording, face unlock, call, and the
7:16like. Sadly, we don’t have information
7:18on how long the software support or
7:20security patches that the Infinix Hot 60
7:22Pro Plus will have. Another thing I want
7:24to point out is that JM, the reviewer of
7:26the Infinix Hot 60 Pro here in Yugate,
7:29stated that his device has a one tap AI
7:31button, which is below the power button.
7:34The Pro Plus variant does not come with
7:36one, which is quite odd not to have. For
7:38connectivity, you get the essentials
7:40here with the Infinix Hot 60 Pro Plus,
7:42Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and GPS. It
7:46also has an IR blaster, and it’s
7:48surprisingly below the main sensor of
7:50the camera. The phone uses 4G LTE, so
7:52unfortunately doesn’t have 5G
7:54capabilities. For a phone around this
7:56price range, you can expect this at much
7:58since last year’s Hot 50 Pro Plus
8:00doesn’t have it either. For battery,
8:02it’s juiced up by a 5,160 milliamp hour
8:05battery with 45 watt fast charging
8:08support and bypass charging. It’s
8:10interesting to see a phone this light
8:11and thin have a large battery pack. In
8:13our PC Mark battery test, it got a
8:15result of 15 hours and 9 minutes, which
8:18translates pretty well when I tested the
8:20device. For context, I did my days on
8:22the phone while snapping photos and
8:24watching videos on it, too. However, as
8:26we say, the actual battery life is based
8:29on how you use the device. As of making
8:31this video, we don’t have the price of
8:33the Infin Hot 60 Pro Plus just yet, but
8:35once we get word, we’ll post the price
8:37in the comment section or description
8:39box below. So, keep your eyes peeled.
8:41The Infin Hot 60 Pro Plus is a worthy
8:44contender to be your next daily driver,
8:45especially with all that it brings. For
8:47a thin device to be capable of having
8:49144 Herz refresh rate, long battery
8:51life, and be able to shoot 2K videos,
8:54it’s pretty neat, especially if it has a
8:56similar price range to that of the
8:57Infinix Hot 50 Pro Plus, which went for
9:008,499 pesos. It’s pretty neat,
9:03especially for an entry-level device.
9:04However, if you’re after a phone that
9:06can handle the maximum settings of
9:07mobile games and take night shots, this
9:10might not be the one for you. But what
9:11do you think of the Infin Hot 60 Pro
9:13Plus? Share your thoughts in the comment
