Snapchat has two things for us today. First, they want to change the way you snap a moment and upload to their app. Second, they are rebranding to Snap Inc.
Introducing Spectacles. It’s the first wearable from the company that’s basically a pair of sunglasses armed with a camera that can record 10-second videos. It has a button near the hinge that commands the recording. The camera onboard uses a 115-degree lens which is supposedly the ideal field of view of the person recording.
The wearable is capable of taking a day’s worth of Snaps on a single charge and it will come 3 different colors. It connects directly to Snapchat via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and allows circular video format to be viewed inside the app.

The product was launched intimately with just a few people, so we don’t have much information for now. What we know is the wearable will retails for $130 or around Php6k before taxes and whatnot. It should come out before the year ends but only with a limited number of pairs.
