Last year was rough for Samsung due to the Note7 battery fiasco, but it still emerged as the number one smartphone vendor when it comes to the number of shipments for 2016.

According to the data by industry tracker Strategy Analytics, Samsung finished 2016 with a total of 309.4 million units shipped, but that’s less compared to the 319.7 million units shipped in 2015.
