Listen to article

Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said today in an interview on Radyo Pilipinas dzRB that the Government Satellite Network or GSN operation to be launched this year can be used to fight the spread of disinformation, misinformation or fake news.

Andanar said that the Presidential Communications Operations Office or PCOO plans to roll out the Government Satellite Network in 42,000 barangay halls and all PCOO agencies nationwide in the next six months.

– Communications Secretary Martin Andanar

He also added that the GSN can transmit government multimedia and data content using advanced satellite and Internet Protocol television or IPTV technology.
