根据美国劳工统计局的数据,呼叫中心雇佣了约300万美国人,但预测显示,由于外包和自动化,到2033年可能损失15万个就业岗位。该法案要求企业在将工作转移至海外前120天通知劳工部,而进行离岸业务的企业将被列入为期五年的公开名单。

列入名单的企业可能面临失去联邦拨款和贷款资格的風險,而合同将优先授予保留工作岗位在美国的雇主。该措施还要求透明度,呼叫中心工作人员需披露是否由人工智能或离岸中心处理咨询。

该法案获得美国通信工人工会的支持,旨在将客户服务工作保留在美国境内。

Call centers are losing money because of AI. Most, if not all of them, will be closing soon. Yet the US wants to bring it back to their country? LOL!
