The c905 wants to be a digital camera than a phone. At 8.1 megapixels, this cameraphone has a Xenon flash, face detection and image stabilization.
Newer phones now have built-in cameras that are comparative with most point-and-shoot cameras in the market. Some camera phones even have ample controls that allows you to set contrast, DOF, ISO, brightness, color and exposure. We did some samples below to illustrate these.
Canon yesterday announced a new dSLR camera in its Rebel series — the EOS 1000D. Its release was aimed to replace the old Canon EOS 400D XTi which first came out in August of 2006.
Got this new Canon dSLR from a good friend a week ago. This was their gift to me for doing their prenup shots I featured on my photoblog a month ago. I don’t know which model it is though. See pictures after the jump.
Bumped into Art Samaniego of Manila Bulletin during the Nokia N82 Adventure II launch this afternoon and he casually mentioned that there’s a new Canon Lens Sale promo going on at Digital Zone. So I dropped by at dZone on the way to my next meeting.
In the last couple of months, I have had some photoshoot experiences with covering wedding-related photography. Many pros I’ve talked to say it’s the most challenging of all types of photography because it combines so many other genres — street journalism, portraiture, sports, etc.
I’ve completely moved from shooting JPEGs to RAW just this year when shooting with my Canon EOS 40D. That has made a huge difference in how the quality or the drama of the photos turn out.
Just got back from a whole afternoon stroll at the Photo World Asia 2008 (others refer to it as PhotoWorld Manila). As usual, the Glorietta Activity Center was swamped with hobbyist and enthusiast photographers with all the sales and discount promos.
Just a couple of days after the Canon 450D was announced, Nikon made their moved and announced a newer model of their prosumer dSLR series — it’s the 10.2MP Nikon D60.
Digital cameras really do come and go. It was only a couple of years ago when the Rebel XT (ESO 350D) and the XTi (EOS 400D) was introduced in the market. Now, Canon is coming up with the next generation that will surely create another wave of mad rush to camera shops around the world.
Canon has been having this sale for months now and I only learned about it recently. I read somewhere this is the 3rd time they did this. Canon dSLR users may have already know about this but for the casual users like me, this me get you to grab a new “L” lens or that much-sought after 70-200mm 2.8L IS USM.
Whenever I post product photos here on my blog, you’d immediately notice I don’t have enough lighting in place. I use lamps around the house so taking photos (without flash) is a little challenging.
In a short while, we’ll be leaving for the Frankfurt airport. That’ll be another 24 hours of travel ’til I get back to Manila. Will take another 48 hours to rest and recuperate. I’ve already signed up as moderator for next year’s seminar again. Might also go to Argentina (and Brazil!). Ah, I miss home.
Update: Plane delayed. Missed connecting flight by 10 minutes. Begged. Nope. Door’s closed. One passenger drunk. Door’s opened. Two policemen in. Drunk man out. Yuga in. Saved by the booze!
The week breezed by so quick I didn’t realize it’s been a week already. Had a great time here and wanted to share some pictures for friends back home.
Go to watch the V League games between Ateneo and La Salle yesterday evening. It’s like the PBL for womens’ volleyball. Was able to capture some nice shots I’d like to share.
Got back from from Davao City this afternoon. Did some exciting stuff over the week-end there, on top of the partying after the Mindanao Bloggers Summit. See my recent picture after the jump.

My twelve-day trip to Germany will be finalized this week, since this will be happening during the busy December. Before I go back home, I am thinking of doing some cross-country backpacking of some sorts in select destinations around Europe. Problem is, I’m clueless. Any recommendation?
