Which Android phone is for you?

Listen to article

The handset market is slowly being saturated by Android phones. There’s at least one from every major manufacturer around — Samsung, HTC, Sony-Ericsson, LG, Motorola.

Even Acer and Lenovo has one though it’s not yet released locally. By my count, we have over a dozen handsets on Android locally:

  • HTC Tattoo
  • HTC Magic
  • HTC Hero
  • HTC Legend
  • HTC Desire
  • HTC Wildfire
  • Samsung Galaxy Spica i5700
  • Samsung Galaxy S i9000
  • Sony-Ericsson Xperia X10
  • Sony-Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini
  • Sony-Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro
  • LG Optimus GT540
  • Motorola Milestone

Two more Android phones are coming from Samsung this month. RedFox is also launching their own Android phone. So which one is for you?

I’m enjoying my rooted HTC Magic, tho I’m drooling over the HTC Desire, but I want my next smartphone to have secondary camera for video calling. So…. I’ll stick with my HTC Magic til I find the next best thing :D

I got the Desire 2 weeks ago. It’s very fast and slick. One of my best purchases in a long time. I’m just waiting around the corner for the Froyo update which should make the phone even better.

Galaxy S sana kung d lang dahil sa plastic body na walang pinagkaiba sa ibang cheap samsung phones. Kaya desire na lang ako! Loving htc sense. Coming from an x10, mas maganda talaga implementation ng sense regardless of the smoothness of the ui.

@abeolandres Yet only a few are pretty affordable. It’s a good thing though. I hope HTC’s Wildfire be the start of more affordable ‘droids.

I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Spica i5700. Despite its mid-range price its power packed with features. I always emphasize the price of any gadget that I buy because Im not rich but I like buying gadgets. Since most Android powered phones in the market today are on the high side. Maybe if Im going to buy a second phone for my second line, I would probably get LG Optimus GT540.

havent tried any android phone but i would prefer those from samsung.. so i go for GALAXY S.

well, Im using NOW A SAMSUNG I8910 HD..

HAVING A CUSTOMIZED SYMBIAN HX-V7 FIRMWARE(WILL BE UPGRADED TO HX-V8 THIS AUG 8 WHEN HX RELEASES IT)..

ON TOP OF IT IS SPB MOBILE SHELL VERSION 3.5.5 BUILD 349 WHICH IS AN EXCELLENT USER INTERFACE..

SUCH COMBINATION MAXIMIZES MY I8910 UTILIZATION.

SIR ABE, CAN YOU MAKE A REVIEW ABOUT THIS? JUST WONDER HOW WILL YOU EVALUATE IT..

I have a Spica. Was thinking of getting an Optimus but it is not available yet. I wanted to have a Galaxy S caliber smart phone (4″ screen etc) but my phone usage dictates that it is still impractical for me at this point (unless I simply wanted to flaunt then I will buy it or an iP4 :D).
