Fujitsu-Siemens Lifebook P1620

Fujitsu used to own the market for really small and lightweight laptops with their Lifebook series. Only problem is, the smaller they go the more expensive they become. Asus changed that paradigm and revolutionized the way ultraportables are marketed. Now Fujitsu is trying to play catch and teamed up with Siemens for the 8.9-inch Lifebook P1620.

The Fujitsu-Siemens Lifebook P1620 is its answer to the Asus Eee PC 900. Is it too late for Fujitsu or can it muster and grab some piece of the action in this already crowded market.

Fujitsu Siemens p1620

8.9″ screen (1280×768)
1.2GHz Core 2 Duo U7600
512MB - 2GB RAM (533MHz DDR2)
60-100GB HDD
3G/HSDPA
WiFi 802.11a/b/g
Gigabit Ethernet
56k modem
USB 2.0 port
Fingerprint scanner
3-cell & 6-cell batteries

The price? A little over $1,700 {via}. So the answer is no — Fujitsu isn’t playing the cheap and small game.

won’t work. you dont need the core2duo on such a small laptop. and people won’t pay that much for a small lappy.
