Earlier this afternoon, at the PC Showcase 2010, the Dell booth had a couple of Alienware laptops lined up for sale including the M17x, M15x and the netbook-sized M11x.

Despite the relatively small size of the M11x, it still is a huge beast once you put it side-by-side a regular netbook. It’s a bit thick as well and that could be due to the inclusion of a discreet graphics card and the need to put in some sort of exhaust fan to keep it cool.

The system seems fast but I didn’t notice any significant difference between this unit my ULV notebooks (Asus UL20, Acer Timeline 1810TZ). Tried running Windows Experience Index to see the scores but it was taking too long and people are already looking to take turns after me.

The back-lit keyboard was blinking all the time (in various colors) as if there’s some party underneath the laptop. The keyboard itself was a little shallow and typing accurately could get a while to get used to. Solid notebook all-in-all and really nice looking. There were two models in the 11-inch category — one with the Core 2 Duo ULV (complete specs here) and the other with a Core i3. The older model was selling for around Php66,000 and I don’t think they sold any of them today.

May idea po ba kayo kung san makakabili nito na brand new sa Philippines? thanks
