The Mobile Philippines magazine has been offering subscriptions for free in the last 8 months (at least) and I only found about it today. Went around Virra Mall this afternoon to get me a new kick-ass PC case (that's for the PCLabs) when I saw copies of Mobile Philippines being given out for free. Note: You can get a free monthly subscription by sending an email to [email protected] with your contact info and home address. In April 2008, the Philippines was just at #7 for mobile ad traffic as measured by AdMob. Though there's practically zero growth from the previous month, the Philippines still surpassed the United Kingdom taking 3.9% of the total ad requests delivered by AdMob. Still, this is a good sign that mobile consumers in the Philippines are surfing the web thru their mobile phones. We've got over a hundred submissions from our recent poll on mobile 3G services. Quite a number of users have already been using their new uMobile SIMs too (7.19%) while fledgling Sun Cellular 3G is still down there.
