When Globe Telecom came out and announced the pricing plans for the iPhone 3G, a lot of people cried foul and declared it too expensive. After a couple of weeks with the Nokia E71, I can certainly say it’s the best and most equipped smartphone coming out of Nokia’s doors for the longest time. The smaller form factor has some drawbacks but is something to be expected due to size constraints.
Just got the new Nokia E71 business phone and I’ve been testing it for a couple of days now. Haven’t finished yet but so far, everything’s positive from the usability end. For the meantime, check out the pics and price list below after the break.
The Nokia E51 first came out in September last year, it already got my attention. After quite sometime, I finally got myself a unit and here’s my verdict.
These models were supposed to be released last May (at least for the E71) but got delayed. The new business line of mobile phones, the Nokia E71 and E66, were announced yesterday. Pictures and specs after the jump.
When the Nokia N78 came in the mail two weeks ago for review, it came with a set of small speakers. Didn’t knew Nokia was also making phone speakers and this one looks like they were specifically made for mobile phones.
The Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) recently announced the 2008 Most Coveted Photo & Imaging Awards in Europe. Two Nikon dSLRs, the D3 and D300, took trophies in the Pro and Expert categories.
I’ve been using the Nokia N81 for a couple of weeks now and I must say I wasn’t that quite excited about it as many would have. Despite the squarish and heavy built, this model is a beauty. Let me share some of the noticeable features of this unit.
As reflected in the global market, Nokia dominates the pack in our recent survey on mobile phones. The results of the poll were really interesting although it was pretty obvious from the start who would win.
Others are calling it the Nokia Tube, though that’s not really the real name of this new Nokia Touch UI phone coming out first quarter of 2009. I thought I saw that phone in Singapore during the Ovi launching last year.
This huge box came in the mail yesterday containing a test unit of the new Nokia N81 8GB. Pretty huge packaging for a phone IMO. The timing is just right as Engadget reports that Nokia’s N-Gage gaming service is already live. Complete specs and photos after the jump.
A visitors once left a comment asking me what I thought of this new HSDPA phone by Nokia. I checked out the Nokia 6120 Classic and thought it was a really good buy.
Nokia has just launched a new mobile phone - the Nokia N82. Got wind of the virtual launch (around 8PM last night) a couple of days ago from Nokia Philippines but was unable to blog about it due to NDA. Now that it’s officially out, here are the specs:
We’ve just wrapped up the day for the Singapore leg of Nokia: Go Play! A lot of announcements were made and too many new mobile units to check out.
Will try to cover everything I’ve got so far.
Reports have been spreading that Palm, Inc. will be acquired real soon and it could be announced in the next 12 to 24 hours.
The likely buyers are Nokia and Motorola, along with several other private firms. So, which one do you think is it? Are we looking at a Nokia Palm or a Motorola Palm anytime soon?
I think I’ll go with the hunches at GigaOM and say Motorola needs Palm more than Nokia does.

Motorola + Palm = Mapalm

Nokia + Palm = Napalm (see, not a good mix
)
Ok, I just made them up and they sound corny.
