Been doing some hacking with the WordPress templates to customize it, not for blogging but as a regular site Content Management System (CMS). Haven’t been doing any PHP programming lately so I’m a little rusty.
WordPress, in the default installation can be a very bulky CMS tool but once you are able to shave off some of the functionalities and features, it can be a very good CMS for small websites (maybe even bigger ones).
I used to have my own CMS for my blog until I moved to WP sometimes last April. I still use my old CMS on other sites but haven’t gotten to update/upgrade it for over a year now. My problem here is to either continue with the development of my inhouse CMS or completely move to a simplified version of WordPress, much like the one made by Semiologic.
Still in the look-out for a better alternative.

I am jealous of this blog. Very few comments are off the mark if any at all. Make sure you post often.Very good job.
