The “force” is strong and Toshiba is giving in to the crowd with the 8.9″ Satellite NB105 netboook. Mind you, this is not Toshiba’s first attempt at ultraportables.
Toshiba previously had a line called Libretto in 2005 that’s as small as 7.2 inches (last model was Libretto U105). Problem though is that the Toshiba Libretto was very expensive. Looks like Toshiba has discontinued its production already.
The Toshiba Satellite NB105 could be its reincarnate.
Of course, it runs on an Intel Atom 1.6GHz, 1GB RAM, 120GB HDD with WiFi and a LAN port including 2 USB ports. The 8.9″ screen display has resolution of 1024×600 pixels. OS availability is just MS Windows XP Home.
IS THIS STILL AVAILABLE IN THE MARKET NOW?
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
i have had the chance of using a libretto (i am still using it now as a matter of fact) and i can say that it performs well. the only downside is the tiny screen and keyboard
Hi All,
Price range will be less than USD 500.

there’s no greater than toshiba!
hmm, wish they’d release a 10″ as well.
Since this is their renewed attempt at the netbook market, the prices may have been lowered. Hopefully.
ohh!! toshiba are always as ever considered pricey! when will they drop prices? they’re aren’t getting lion’s share either.. do they?
OMG, Toshiba has a netbook!
In more than a year of being a tech support for Toshiba, I never got a call for a Libretto.
hi! so how much would it cost?
when is it due out?
