Samsung Galaxy S Duos announced

Relevance: 79%      Posted on: August 21, 2012

Samsung has announced its latest dual-SIM Android handset, the Galaxy S Duos. This Galaxy S3 look-alike is the dual-SIM version of the very first Galaxy S handset from two years ago. The design resembles that of the new Galaxy S3 but on a smaller form factor (4.0") and has a hardware configuration similar to the original Galaxy S (or probably even the Galaxy Ace or Ace 2). The specs ins't that inspiring but the design is already updated and the dual-SIM feature is slowly creeping up into the mid-range. Samsung Galaxy S Duos specs: 4.0" TFT LCD @ 480x800 pixels,…

Could the Atom eat away Intel’s bottomline?

Relevance: 30%      Posted on: August 2, 2008

This Friday, Intel will be launching their newest mobile CPU in the Philippines -- the Centrino 2. However, the Intel Atom usually takes center stage nowadays because of the heavy proliferation of cheap netbooks. Could the Atom be more of a headache rather than a blessing to Intel's bottomline? Well, let's look at it this way. The existing Core 2 Duos for mobile will cost between $209 and $530 a pop. The Celeron M processors, between $86 to $134. (Prices quoted are for the standard 1,000 bulk orders in March 2008.) Now, how much is the Intel Atom today? Round-about…

Relevance: 27%      Posted on: January 30, 2013

Samsung has just made official the La Fleur 2013 collection for the ladies who want their Galaxy smartphones with a more feminine touch. The La Fleur Galaxy smartphones include the Galaxy S3 (Red/White), Galaxy S Duos, Galaxy Ace 2, Galaxy Ace Duos, and the Galaxy S3 Mini. These smartphones will feature the same specs as their non-La Fleur counterparts except for the printed floral designs that will come in pink or red accents. This reminds me of the Nokia L'amour collection way back in 2005. The Samsung La Fleur collection will launch in Russia on February 1st. International availability is…

When we posted the article yesterday, some of us (yes, including myself) were disappointed by the fact that your beloved Samsung device are still stuck with an old OS while their quad-core toting counterpart has already started getting the update.
