Apple’s new iPhone 6S might look the same as last year’s model but there are lots more on the inside that might convince fans to grab the latest one. Apple did not stop there and introduced a totally new Rose Gold color as well.

Here’s the list of improvements introduced on the new iPhone 6S:

iPhone 6S improvements:

  • Better display reinforcement (Ion-X)
  • Faster processor (64-bit A9 chip)
  • Bigger RAM (2GB)
  • Better front and rear camera (5MP/12MP sensor)
  • Better autofocus (Deep Trench Isolation)
  • Front Retina Flash
  • More LTE bands
  • Twice as fast Wi-Fi
  • 4K video with Live Photo
  • More durable chassis (Apple’s custom alloy)
  • 3D Touch
  • Improved Touch ID
  • Latest software (iOS9)
  • New Rose Gold color

Remained the same:

  • Display size (4.7-inch)
  • Screen resolution/ppi (1334 x 750, 326ppi)
  • Storage (16, 64, 128GB)

The iPhone 6S has been released in a few dozen countries but Apple has not yet announced its availability in the Philippines. We expect it could be sometime end of October to mid- November if we based it on last year’s timeline.

What we like about it:

  • Great build quality
  • Better camera
  • 3D Touch
  • Great performance
  • iOS 9
  • Fingerprint scanner

What we did not like:

  • Same look as the old one
  • Thicker and heavier
  • Poor battery life
  • Quite expensive
  • No expandable storage
  • Non-removable battery

Disclosure: This review unit was bought from Widget City. They sell the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus with a starting price of Php35,000 {see listing here}.
