iPhone Elite: What the iPhone should have been?

This is what the original iPhone should looked like if Apple decided to include a slide-out qwerty keyboard instead of just purely touchscreen. Mat Brady added and Photoshoped the refinements then emailed Steve Jobs.

What’s added aside from the qwerty keyboard the slides horizontally from the side is a Carl Zeiss camera lens (3.2MP would do) placed somewhere near the center and has some optical zoom (2 or 3x I guess).

Of course, this concept design would mean you get a much thicker iPhone and even pricier too. I think it’s doable and people would still buy it. I don’t think Apple would ever make it though.

  2. That would make me buy an iPhone. But I’m not sure about the protruding lens though. Why not use folded lens instead?

  3. this one looks like the xperia? ummmm . . . HAAPY NEW YEAR guys! ;0

  4. Galing talaga ng GLOBE TELECOM, nakuha na naman nila ang iPhone Elite contract… Kamusta naman ang SMART Communication? Hehehe

  5. I’d forgo the optical zoom if it means no protruding camera lens. That’s ugly!

  6. naka-protrude lang naman ata pag nag optical zoom eh . haha. my guess

  7. There’s a steep learning curve as regards typing on the iPhone’s touchscreen. Dyahe minsan.

When it comes to ease of use, some China phones are more commendable. Really. haha.

  8. It closely resembles a Nokia N97 actually. =)

Maybe it’s just Nokia too quick to obtain a patent for their upcoming phones?

    =)

  9. That’s a cool design. However, I think I will wait awhile ’til I find the netphone that I like. I’m quite content with my old but trusty N77

    Happy New year peeps!

  10. Its too bulky, and ofcourse it will be way to pricey too..

  11. I think the concept design is 3G enabled look at a second camera on the front

  12. Looks great.. Can hardly wait to have one. HAPPY NEW YEAR.
