Google One now has 100 million subscribers

Are you a Google One subscriber? If you are, then congratulations, you are one of the 100 million people who use the service for additional storage.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai has announced that the company recently crossed 100 million Google One subscribers. In addition, Pichai says that they will be “building on that momentum” with the newly launched AI premium plan which features the Gemini AI model 11.

Google One 100 Million

This marks a major milestone for Google since the company moved away from offering free storage plans, much to many users’ disappointment. These include dropping unlimited storage from Google Photos back in 2021 and more.

However, it’s not surprising to see them hit the 100 million mark. Google did say they were already close to that number when it released its fourth-quarter earnings in January. Together with the launch of the new AI Premium plan tier on Google One, it might not be long before Google hits a new milestone number of subscribers.

If you’re interested, the Google One plan that features is also available in the Philippines, and it is nearly double the price of the standard 2TB Google One Plan priced at PHP 1,100 per month. For reference, the regular 2TB Google One Plan without Gemini Advanced is just PHP 479 per month. But the real question is this – will you be subscribing to Google One? Or will you stay on with the free plan that comes standard?
