The new 2014 Mazda 3 SkyActiv is coming to the Philippines this 2nd quarter and we’ve got the retail prices of the different variants to be released in the country.

We still don’t have a specific date on the release of the said Mazda3 vehicles but we’ll update you once we get some more information.

The new Mazda 3 looks good albeit a little fat for my taste. I own a red Altis 2014 and I’m satisfied with its performance but there’s something different with this car. Maybe it’s because someone drove his red Mazda 3 alongside my red Altis (maybe to highlight the differences between his car and mine) which made me more curious about the former. But then again I had a very bad experience with our mazda so that made me a bit cautious about this car.

Do not compare the Mazda3 skyactiv with Toyota Altis.
1) Mazda3 Skyactiv is Autoguide US Car of the Year, Top3 finalist for World Car of the Year along with BMW 4 series and Audi A3…and so on. Award winning car dont compare to popular car due to brand name.
2) Looks. While Altis looks like a Vios, Mazda3 looks like a baby Mazda6. Mazda6 design won Red Dot Design Award and Auto BILD award. Research mo na lang kung gano ka-prestigious yang awards na yan.
3) Mazda3 got push start button, Activmatic with paddle shifters, i-stop and i-eloop, sunroof, commander control, gps and wifi ready with apps for accessing fb, twitter and online radio/podcasts…some say that interior looks that in BMW.
4) Pang praktikal ang Altis, pwede gawin taxi, pagkakakitaan. Mazd3 di pwede gawin taxi, bawal. Pero sa Altis, gagastos ka ng 15k to 20k per yr sa casa maintenance. Sa Mazda3, free ang casa maintenance ng 3 yrs. Mukang praktikal din pala mag Mazda hahaha di lang pwede gawin taxi talaga kasi hindi naman pantaxi ang beauty.
5) nakakagulat lang kase mas mahal yung Altis TOTL than Mazda3 TOTL kahit madami siyang features and benefits na wala sa Altis.

@KzCo d ko nagets kung bakit di na pedeng ikumpara ang corolla sa 3 dahil lng sa may mga natanggap itong mga awards hahaha tska alm mo naman n may awards din ang corolla altis,mas madami pa nga eh,isang patunay n kaya tumagal ang nameplate na corolla ng ilang dekada. well kung sa looks naman,para sakin mas kamukha ng altis ang accord sa front,at camry sa back,best selling midsize sedans yang mga yan.pangatlo,contradicting ung statements mo,andami mong namention na features ng mazda 3,kahit n ung iba naman eh meron din sa altis.sinabi mo din na mas loaded ng features ang 3 pero mas mura.nabanggit mo p ung 3 yrs free maintenance(eto di ko sure kung totoo talaga.mejo duda ako)…pero nasabi mo p rin n mas PRAKTIKAL ang altis.di naman sa beauty ang nagiging criteria para maging taxi,ang criteria ay:durability,low maintenance costs,cheap spare parts,high resale value,reasonable price,vehicle longevity,etc. ANU IBIG SABHIN NUN?hindi sapat ang mga nabanggit mo para matalo ang altis,un na un. =)

Tama si @wew – just don’t call them idiot there is probably a nicer way to call them. Just because you dont get to choose mazda , that doesn’t make you wiser than anyone else. wag mo sila tangalan ng karapatan mamili ng gusto nila. konting respeto lang kailangan

Dati sa porsche at audi ka lang mag kakaroon ng Bose audio system. Buti na lang merong mazda!!! Bose+Mazda = Astig!!!

Based on the price and specs (on their website), I honestly think that bnew Mazda buyers are idiots. Yun mga tipong gusto lang ma-iba and not really looking for value for their money.

In my opinion, i think you’re the idiot. People buy cars because of it’s features, safety, brand, price and DESIGN. To each his own. This car is skyactiv meaning it is like a hybrid in terms of its fuel consumption. And yes, people nowadays buy cars to be different. Being different isnt that bad right? Go ahead and buy a vios or a mirage or even an altis and be common. Nothing wrong to be “common” too, dont get me wrong. :)

Nice one Andrew haha. Kung tingin at opinion mo eh di value for money to i suggest iresearch mo muna yung bagong technology ng Mazda na skyactiv. Plus antayin mo makita ito sa personal kasi base sa mga youtube vids eh sold na ako sa porma nito kahit ganyan ang presyo eh bibili pa din kami ng asawa ko. Eh ano Kung gusto namin maiba? May pera naman kami pang bayad nito. Malamang Maka toyota or mitsubishi or Honda kaya. Masyadong basher hahaha yan opinion mo. Eto opinion namin tungkol sayo. Idoit.

O hanggang jbl at pioneer at philips ka lang?!!! Next time mag basa ka!!! Kunga kaya mo ng bumili ng Bose speaker tsaka ka mag comment!!! Siguro sanay ka sa sa pangit na audio ng toyota mitsubishi etc.!!! Kung wala kang alama sa mazda manahimik ka!!!

feature-wise,mas maganda ang mazda 3 sa ibang competitors nito.pero dapat di sila magpresyo ng ganyan…hindi sila bebenta ng madami kung ganyan…dahil kahit anung features pa ilagay nila jan MAZDA pa rin ang pangalan nyan.d naman sa minamaliit ko ung brand,pero karamihan pa rin kasi ng mga tao eh pinipili ang ibang brands,dahil kung tutuusin di naman sila nagkakalayo kung paguusapan ang features.tska d rin masyado maganda resale value nito kung ikukumpara sa ibang brands.Example ung Mazda 6,andaming pumupuri at panay positive reviews ang binibigay ng ibat ibang automotive magazines,pero bibihira lng naman makita sa daan.mas madami pa rin camry at accord.

@justin lol at your reply hahaha d lng naman resale value ang basehan sa pagpili ng sasakyan. kung ikaw ung tipo ng tao na papalitpalit ng sasakyan at gusto mo eh mejo mataas p rin ang value ng sasakyan kahit ilang years…magiging factor yan pero d naman lahat ng tao tulad ka. ikaw mas idiot eh napakakitid ng utak mo. d ako fan ng mazda…pero gusto ko lng maging fair sa mga taong iba ang gusto.

hindi lng naman ung pagkambyo ang hinahanap naming mga manual enthusiasts,kundi ung overall feeling ng pagdadrive ng manual…ung hindi umaasa sa electronics para magshift…basta d ko maexplain ng maayus basta ganun un =)
