YouTube Premium is one of the most prominent digital subscription services in the Philippines. In 2023, the individual plan was priced at PHP 159 per month, while the family plan cost PHP 239.
Now, the individual plan costs PHP 189, and the family plan has increased to PHP 379. At the very least, the student plan starts at a modest price of PHP 115.
YouTube Premium offers a full suite of features, such as ad-free video streaming, offline downloads, and background playback. It also doubles as a subscription to YouTube Music Premium.
Despite the adjustments, YouTube Premium still feels like a well-rounded package for its price. Aside from what’s mentioned, it supports 1080p Premium video streaming, delivering improved resolution numbers on compatible devices.
Needless to say, the features that come with YouTube Premium are certain to appeal to users, value-wise. We’ll update readers should the service join the likes of Spotify in receiving further price hikes.
