Epixtar Philippines closes, sheds 650 agents

In an SMS correspondence with a former Epixtar employee, it was revealed that the BPO company has closed its offices in Eastwood City, Libis last January 16 leaving employees confused and anxious for answers.

epixtarAllegedly, Epixtar suddenly closed its operations in the Philippines without properly informing and arranging severance packages of hundreds of its employees.

My source, who wants to remain anonymous, also added that they were not given any separation pay and found out that their SSS and PAG-IBIG contributions were deducted from their salary but were not remitted to the proper agencies. Salary loan amortization to Union Bank were not remitted since the November 20, 2008 pay-out.

It would seem that a new company, Amberbase Solutions, took over the operations along with more or less the 650+ employees (everything is the same, except the name of the company). Only about 10 people were not offered a new contract and escorted out of the building on the same day Amberbase took over.

No email or memo were sent out so everyone is confused and in the dark what really transpired, according to a source who wants to remain anonymous (and is now employed by Amberbase).

I did a little digging and found the domain amberbase.com was registered last November 19, 2008 and points to SkyINet, a local hosting provider. The website is still under construction as well so it checks out that Amberbase Solutions is a very new company. The WHOIS information is also private so we can’t shoot a quick email to verify this.

Epixtar filed a Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection last October 7, 2005.

  1. Another company down due to global economic crisis? Oh my. And this sound worse than Accenture Manila. What if tha Malacañang will close, and the reason is economic crises? (lol). I don’t want to hear another one falling, but hey, this is the real world.

  2. Jeez, this is really been bothering me. I have a plan in applying to a new company but as I can see one-by-one most of the company are closing. I come to think that I should be think more than twice to the company I will applying knowing that even Intel, a huge worldwide company is closing. Even the Sony TV factory in Japan I think is closing also. This is really troublesome for all of us.
We should hope that Mr. Obama can really been a factor for “change”.
    LOLZ!

  3. OMG!!!!! IM AN AGENT B4 SA EPIX? TOTOO BA TO>? WALA NAMN CNASABE SAKEN MAG TROPA KO NA NANDUN PA DEN NAGYON. PERO LAM NA MAN NA NANA MEN NA TALGANG PASARA NA SYA ISSUE NA TO WAY BACK IN 20O6…
PANO NA UNG MGA ACCOUNT DON? NA PULL OUT KAYA? UMMH.. CONFIRM KO PA KUNG TOTOO TO.. TSK TSK..

  4. Good riddance to bad garbage.

  5. iM currently employed in amberbase solution (formerly Epixtar). Some of us are very confused regarding our contributions in SS, philhEALTh, pagibig and even our taxes.

I received forwarded message from unknown person. Plabas lng ang change of name para d n mghabol mga reps.,truth is epixtar still exist! dahil wala namn daw mgrereklamo. tuloy p rin operations. enuf is enuf, management is avoiding our questions.wear black tonyt as a sign of protest. Simula plng to ng pagkalampag natin s epixtar. Lets voice out our rage en claim wat is rightfully ours.”

Ive been working in epixtar since march2008.The campaigns are still the same. But, The whole contributions that has been deducted from my income is extremely unacceptable coz of this irregularity.

From HR(Joel Yap), FINANCE and PAYROLL(Lanie Reyes, Peter Bonto, Edward Menor, Cindy Aran, Carl Baltazar, Michelle Samonte, Jennycel Maliwanag, Mary Love Odon, Elwin Mariano ), LEGAL (ATTY. ARNEL ORDAS) and EXECUTIVE Management (JOHN CALLAGHAN and ROBB AUBER)…whenever someone ask questions, bringing up concerns regarding the issue as if wala silang alam…lahat sila isa lng sinasabi “Hindi na namin masasagot yan, EPIXTAR pa po yan…we’re now under the management of AMBERBASE”. Pati daw sila nagulat na lng…which is impossible.

  7. Ouch!
    That’s really ridiculous!!!
LOLZ… Knowing that they are the same people who are working there and member of the administrative buddy, now they’re telling you that they dont know anything and that’s just from the Epixtar days, what the hell it is not yet a week ago so why do they forgot what happen. They are really paid for that, definitely.
This is really one of the major reason why working in the Philippines is very very very doubtful. It is the reason why most of the best professionals are in other countries.
    Hayzzz!!!

  9. Is the head for the education department still the same?

  10. Oh my is his true? My sister works there..pero wala pa syang sinasabi.

  11. this is so BAD..God knows who is Devil!!!

  12. This maybe true… but all I can say is let’s pray for those people who are affected with this very sad & unexpected events. Let’s also pray for the following intentions.

    * We pray for good and success of those people who are still working under the new company. We thank the Lord that all these people still have their work.

    * We also pray for the good and success of those people that who already made up their minds to step out and move to pursue another set of career.

    * To the new company we pray for its success and wishing that whenever you heard of its name, may it become something that you can be proud of because you become a part of it organization. Let’s
pray that the new company will not encounter the same the trials & obstacle or will not repeat the same mistakes of the previous company.

    May God bless us all…

  13. A very good tactic for covering up their dirt! tsk tsk. i believe in karma and i think these people will get what they deserve sooner or later. buti na lang hindi ko itinuloy jan sa epixtar ang career ko.

  14. uU..guyz thatz true…im an agent sa epiX mjo magulo ngaun…mgulo cla…give back what is rightfully ours!

  15. Magagaling pa naman ung mga IT Personnel dito… very friendly and approachable… Haaayyyy!!!!…….

  16. pegasus is BIAS to this new company. Before giving good advices for these and that. pointing positive outlook. please for company’s sake and credibility. PLS DO COMPLY WITH THE LAW AND RIGHTS OF EACH AND EVERYONE EMPLOYEES. SETTLE ALL GARBAGE BEEN DONE FOR THIS WILL HAUNT THIS COMPANY AT THE END.

  17. who’s the new head of education department?

  21. to mr X PACK:

Art. 258 is not applicable on the case of epix because the case was not as mentioned.

the company and the employees was absorbed by the alleged “new company” which is Amberbase because the later suffered from chapter 13 bankruptcy since 2005.

but at any rate, the said “alleged turnover is really anomalous and a gigantic fraud on the part of the employees especially for those who’s more than a year in the company..

there should be a clear answers from the management to the so many questions we have as employees. And we should have the answer that we want or else we shall take the necessary legal actions.

  22. hi, im a previous employee from this company.. i too was retrenched or as might as well dismissed on the day said transition occured. I really dont know what papers I may have need to fix to settle things on my side. Im a rookie as a worker. Can somebody help?eheheh

Anyways, I just hope everything will be fixed and everything will be fine.

    lastly.

I do appreciate being with my team. love being with them..i learned a lot..thanks guys!Miss u’s!!
they know me …. Mr. RASTA….

  23. Just a piece of advice for the Filipinos who were instrumental in perpetrating this scheming acts to defraud their fellowmen….perhaps for a big sum of money or maybe to save their asses!!!!! guys, the legal system in the Philippines may be slow.. but it is still in place.. we very well know our rights and the violations you have done… Mark our word..Justice will prevail in the end and you may say goodbye to your dear professions….tsk tsk tsk..til we meet again…

  24. i am currently employed with amberbase. i can say that the campaigns are still there and what i really find odd, like the others are saying, someone took over the company but the same old admins are there. i don’t know what the hell is going on and why are they suddenly pleading that we all address our concerns to epixtar miami when in the first place, the people in the financial dept are the ones who calculate the rates and places our money in the ENVELOPES – yes envelopes because we don’t get the salary through a decent atm previous to the take over.

bottom line – they are the same people who worked to scam me of my benefits. why are they washing their hands now that they have wiped them in a towel named amberbase solutions?

wtf, my 500 charge for SSS was reflected on SSS’ end as a 100 peso contribution and last updated payment was made in march. the same goes to our philhealth and pag-ibig contributions. our medicard has been suspended since december. OUR BIR payment, i believe, is also not updated. what have we done so grave when we have been faithfully working for them all these time. it’s a betrayal but we all need work and that is why we are patiently waiting for results as we quietly say our hellos day in and day out.

  25. its a change for the best
    god bless the company.

  27. i was a former epix employee and naghahabol ako ngaun ng back pay ko. to all those who want to complain regarding anything against epixtar, you can go to NLRC (national labor and relations commission) and they can assist you with those issues. im currently fixing my case now against them regarding my back pay.

  28. i was a former epixtar employee and naghahabol ako ngaun ng back pay ko. to those who want to file a complain against epixtar, you can go to NLRC (national labor relations commission) and they will assist you with any of your issues. buti na lang nagresign na ako agad jan. i was kinda shock to know na hindi rin nila nireremit ung mga contributions sa pagibig, sss and all that. i guess the case against them will be stronger kung as a group kaung magffile.

  29. Mahaba to pero worth basahin:

I was a former employee too. Resigned last Sep ’07 at sinabihang makukuha ang cheque ko after 2-3 months so I didn’t bother following up during that time. After the 3rd month, that’s when I started calling them at ang laging excuse na sa tingin ko ay kinabisado nila by heart para sa mga nagfa-follow up ng back pay ay “wala pa po kasi ang ni-request namin na funds..blah blah blah.”

They would always say that since they have your contact number, they’d call you to follow up. So I keep calling them and one time na may nakausap ako, here’s how the conversation went:

Me: “follow up ko lang yung backpay ko?”

EPX: “ano po last name nila?”
    -bigay ako last name ko.

(June 2008. This call I made was around September 2008, nearing the first year since nagresign ako sa pesteng kumpanya na to)

    EPX: “opo”

YUN NA! I didn’t get her name but don’t you think that the utter stupidity of the answers I got from her would be enough to show how shameless and worthless this company is!

A week after this encounter over the phone, I went to NLRC and Epx was requested to appear for Mediation twice na parehong hindi nila sinipot dahil wala raw sila nareceive na notice.

I’m currently 7 months pregnant at tong makukuha ko dapat sa Epx I was planning to use just in case kapusin ang savings ko, pang back up ba. pero dahil mga hayop ang may ari ng Epx, I don’t think they give a damn maski malapit ka na mamatay kakahintay ng back pay mo.

If there’s someone who can help out, mas okay kasi pag marami nagreklamo all at the same time. To all those na ginago nitong kumpanya na to, here’s the time to get back at them!

I’m planning to go to one of the TV networks for this.

  30. @ die epx, die!- ex agent

huwaat?? nagpunta ka na din nlrc and walang nangyari?? omg.. so ibig sabihin wala na akong dapat asahan??? im scheduled for hearing next week.. so should i expect na walang sisipot na representative from epix?? this is sooo bad.. this is against the law.. kelangan ko din ung back pay na un.. how can this be resolve??

  31. Come on guys, it’s a waste to cry over spilled milk. Ma-karma nalang sana sila.

Use your energy to find a better job!

    God bless.

  32. in response to : “die epx, die!- ex agent”..

this is Bam, I was once an agent, QA, Employee Relations Associate,Employee Relations Officer (HR) and finally Employee Relations Officer con Legal Secretary of our beloved Epixtar.. Yes, I was tasked to attend all the hearings of cases pending before the NLRC.. I was always instructed to schedule payments after pay out which would be either the 5th or 20th of the month.. To all those I have talked to before the NLRC as the representative of Epixtar.. Guys.. please accept my hearfelt apology, I didnt mean to give you false hopes. I was in the belief that the company could still pay … we are in the same boat now.. after all the sacrifices and the representations I have done for Epixtar upon the instructions of Atty. Arnel Ordas. At first I felt bad that I am no longer with the company, I missed my inbound and Hr families, as well as the agents, sups, sms and the rest of the support group.. but later on I realized I should be thankful.. at least I wont be there anymore and be part of the scam……Lastly, since you know my number, please keep in touch. Thanks!

  33. omfg!!! so meaning wala na akong aasahang sisipot sa hearing na nakaschedule next week??? damnit!! im soo expecting that back pay!!

  34. ano to ANGERBASE SOLUTIONS??hahaha good working with the people..not on the company(epxtar).

    haha!

  35. Calling all Managers (Ops, education department, workforce, quality, HR, etc) Speak up!

  36. EXPLOITED!!! That’s what you are all guys (EXP & amberbase agents). You’ve wasted ur talents & skills ( for those resigned/retrenched ) and continue to be abused and fooled (for those who were kept) by these people. You’re all partly to blame for the mess you’re in right now. You’ve allowed these scammers to be their pawns in their evil wrongdoings of scamming people. You all gave in to their trap of big base pays, commissions, etc, etc, etc. They may have legit campaigns (before?/sometimes?)but according to some insiders, these are just for cover-ups.Pitiful young, talented, skilled, and smart Filipinos. Deprived of your rights! Damn it! Injustice was done again in our very own country by you-know-who. Young aspiring Filipinos who are hoping to provide a decent living for themselves and their family in this poverty-stricken country are once again abused and manipulated by professional blood-sucking thieves. So, what now? For those who refuse to accept their fate and want to stand up, you’ve got to do better than just commenting on blogs, forums, etc…Talk is cheap.Good for those who went to some gov’t offices. But then, lots of employees in our corruptible government agencies that’s supposed to protect the rights of Filipino workers are almost 100% of the time being stuffed with the right amount of bills in their mouth. We’ve got to understand, these corruptible people have families to feed also, and what does their measly salary provide them. For them being patriotic and ‘maka-Filipino’ doesn’t sound sane anymore. “Who puts money in my mouth is my master”, you heard that? I should know. I myself became a victim too before. Here’s what my friend AJ did when he suffered the same fate as yours. He went to PAO – Public Attorney’s Office and asked for a good lawyer re their case. A good lawyer was provided (pro bono) and everybody got what they want. Another one, went to IMBESTIGADOR and the company involved was fined. In your case,a total of 650 (more or less) agents fooled and deprived of benefits? Well, kuya Mike’s show may take it in (let’s see what he’s got to prove). Why not let those thieves in EPX and this so called ‘new company’ be exposed live on national T.V., and let others be forewarned. Or Mr. TULFO might even be interested in your case. Better yet, why not air your grievances to the right commitee on CONGRESS, so these kind-hearted execs of yours be summoned and investigated. If found guilty of any wrongdoing, hopefully they’d all be catapulted back where they came from. There are many avenues for you to be heard… just need to make up your mind and speak up. Don’t be too naive.’Tama na ang pa-cute at pabanjing-banjing mga chong’. You’re not getting any younger. Unless you accept stupidity and slavery (you being the slave)is your way of life. Wake up and be responsible.Don’t let those people get away… let them pay you back and don’t just settle for empty promises.Stop this exploitation of young talented Filipinos. There are a number of decent, honest, and truly legit BPO/call center in the country and more are coming…why waste your time, energy and skill with crooks? Calling on PGMA who’s pitching heavily re this industry… If this industry is truly instrumental in turning around our economy, then we BPO/call ctr employees deserve all-out support and protection against abusive employers. Fair enough!

  37. No back pay and I accept ( kikitain po pa yun so iaabuloy ko na lang sa management, lalo na sa head ng educ dept. Yes sha pa rin!) I feel good that I left because I was soooo tired ( of everything!). But it’s tragic that a lot my best buddies are still holding on. You guys have the skills & knowledge, don’t think otherwise! You deserve better. Tho I’m happy that I was trained by the best when Epix was still at its peak. I am still thankful that I learned a lot.

  38. duskymorena,

education department head–name starts with an A? May I know what happened?

  39. Do the managers know what’s happening to their people?

  40. Dave Hayward

President and CEO at Amberbase Solutions Inc.

  41. a clean advise to amberbase solutions
dont kill your I.T. professionals, indeed they were only a few left for them. and obviously this reflects on the equipment on floors which was less maintained and thus results in unproductiveness of an agent. fatigue also was seen on this department. i know they are not happy as much as many of us

    – agent 007 8th floor northwing

    this company is really sucks..

  43. i thought a lot of people like her because she’s good…

  44. I’ve read the posts after mine. And the only thing that popped into my head is, hindi ko to pwedeng palampasin lang. Yup, I do have work right now, pero yung perang inaasahan ko sa epx ay hindi basta basta lang ang halaga na pwede kong balewalain.

That’s why I’m so angry with Epx, at ang mga taong nagpapatakbo nito. Grabeng panloloko ang ginawa nila o ginagawa pa rin nila to all those who thought that this company was a good one to work in.

I’m sorry Bam if na hurt ka sa mga comments ko, pero I couldn’t help it coz since you represented them, ikaw ang napagbuntungan ko. So natanggal ka na rin? ganun na lang ba yun? ang pwede na lang gawin ngayon eh mag email sa epixtar.com na website para mag follow up? what good will that do? I already did that, the same day na nagpost ako nung Feb 8 pero walang reply.

My plan is to approach Mr. Tulfo sa Bitag pero I believe mas may impact if there were a lot of us who will come out and complain at the same time diba?

So please, sa mga gusto pang lumaban kagaya ko, let me know, let’s work something out.

  45. To make the long story short..

    .. or even shorter

Epixtar closed so that they wont have to bother about it’s back pay and/or the contributions of it’s employees…

i know that because it is the exact same thing that happen to Air Relay Corp..

WALA NA BANG MATITINONG TAO SA MUNDONG ITO?

  46. am so glad to be out of that company!

  47. @die epx, die!- ex agent

u think kapag dinala naten to sa media, may mangyayari pa? i mean.. baka parehas lang din ang mangyayari, sasabihin lang ng amberbase na wala ng epix and ndi na sila makakatulong.

  48. i think so.. how hundread percent na new management na cla.. they could say that… but we need a prove na new management na cla.. how come HR and financial director are still the same… yup me and my friends are willing to go with you guys if ever you decided to go imbestigador or tulfo.. just let us know.. you can send us an email at airhi****@****.***….bam also work atleast from management HR so maybe she has an idea if its really a new management or just a fake name to cover up…

  49. yup… amber base can say that they are already a new management… but prove it.. they can easily say that…me and my friend are willing to go with you guys if ever you decided to imbestigador or tulfo, just let us know.. send us email @ airhi****@****.***.. thanks…

  51. To Oh well, I guess all is well with you…good for you.

Given na yang sinasabi mo na use our energy to secure a new job – dapat lang!.

But for us who are badly affected lalo na kung hundreds of thousands pesos ang pinag uusapan.

    Sige ingatz

  52. To die epx, die!- ex agent

You are right, let us fight for it! Support ako dyan sa sinabi mo.

    Go for it!!!

  53. To ‘duskymorena’, ‘Oh well’, and like-minded so-be-it-just-fine-attitude former employees of EPX:

You can easily say those words coz probably you don’t have any dependents yet; maybe you are not feeding any mouths yet… or you are not responsible for somebody’s life yet, except your own ‘caprichos’… so you don’t seem to understand the feelings of those who want to get their benefits due to them by this blood-sucking company. Or, maybe you are rich enough to just give away what you’ve worked for. Obviously, you are insensitive to your former colleagues miseries… is it because you’ve got rich moms and dads, huh. Or maybe ‘you’ were just created by EPX to post such comments to somehow condition the minds of angry, EXPLOITED employees. Whatever the case may be, the kind of personality (in my opinion) that ‘you’ have is of a weak one, too passive and timid…prone to MANIPULATION and EXPLOITATION. Truly, in this world of survival of the fittest, lives to kind of species– weak ones (those who are eaten alive) and the strong ones (those who rule; or those who’ll fight to the end). By your views and comments with what’s going on in your ex-company and ex-colleagues,I think you belong to the former.

  54. Talk is cheap… Somebody’s got to initiate in forming a group whose voice is LOUD enough to be heard by the MEDIA, by CONGRESS, by the OFFICE of the PRESIDENT, by the… “Association of Call Centers in the Philippines (?!)” or something to that effect…we do have this in the country but obviously mute and deaf with the MISERIES of manipulated call center agents.

Putting hundreds of !!!!! in your comments/posts won’t do anything. ACT now while the executives/management of EPX are still here for possible PROSECUTION. Somebody’s got to lead. There should be a concerted effort to expose all the wrongdoings and cheatings done by EPX…FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS!

  55. To die epx, die!:

A piece of ‘walis-tingting’is inutile/ineffective when you use it to sweep the rubbish. Why not add more sticks of walis-tingting… and bind them tightly? You’ll be able to sweep all the dirt, all the rubbish in your former company in no time. Why not take the lead? One important thing, probably most important, is to have the MEDIA on your side. You’ve got to create the BUZZ!!!!

  56. JOJO PINILI! you’re the worst Senior Operations Manager i’ve ever known. Bagay n bagay ka sa epixtar… GARBAGE!

  57. We can express all of our anger on this blog but the words place here will not move or heard unless all of us do something about it. The best time to do it is now. Hit them where it hurts while one of the clients are here. Let these clients know what kind of corrupt company they have joined with.

    To: Ex employee
you think jojo pili is bad check out the 6th floor call center manager Paul aka Pong (it should be ping pong). He is getting paid to come to work and sleep. And when caught he just gets a slap in the hand and get promoted. Look at what kind of managers we have wonder if the new owner knows what they got into. If I were them clean house and get rid of all the corrupt executives.

  58. okei.. so i guess madami na ang gustong i-escalate tong issue na to. y not communicate with mary there as she wants this to be sent to media. sent her an email. airhi****@****.*** and let’s get this done.

  59. Managers from all department are to be blamed…I guess hindi malulugi ang company kung matino ang pamamalakad…from recruitment, training down to ops…If they have been hiring and promoting good people none of these would have happened…

  60. Hi everyone, here’s my number.. 090657*****. Let’s get together and see what we can do to get answers to our questions and hopefully solutions to our problems..definitely we will not go to Amberbase a.ka. epixtar anymore as the ears of the people behind it are deaf and their hearts are hard as stone… they owe us big time from unremitted taxes, sss, pag-ibig, philhealth contributions and loan amortizations… that’s a HUGE amount of hardearned money which they practically took from us, not to mention the backpays and the severance/separation pay we all deserve……it’s indeed a blessing that I am not part of the company anymore coz i wont have the heart to do injustice to my fellowmen .. we will seek help from the proper government and private agencies..let’s unite.. i will take the lead…

  61. sunshine!! I know you and I know dusky morena too.. we are all in the same page..she might have said something about not getting her backpay anymore.. she said that out of desperation since she very well know that she would have a hard time getting it.. but i am sure she didnt mean to be insensitive to our feelings.. let’s set aside that for now.. our priority is to unite and fight for our rights as Filipinos and as human beings…hope to hear from both of you soon!!!

  62. Thanks Mommy Bam! I have four kids of my own & one is already in college! I am busy moving on & working hard to help ends meet. The computation of my back pay alone is questionable. I apologise I cannot be a front liner to recover our losses but I will definitely support any action & will participate/attend meetings if necessary. It is unfair to take your anger against those who does not share your strong sentiments. I may be passive but will never be timid. We are on the same fence against the BIGSCAM that is Epixtar, never forget we are in a similar predicament. The same peeps are holding the same positions that they have while it was still Epixtar, ergo, same management. FYI. By the way Sunshine, my real name is Sheila; my last position was that of a Trainor.

  63. duskymorena,
How is alona as a boss? I wanted to be a trainor before but never got promoted.

  64. ei some body email me tha he has an idea how he help us..all were askin is evrybody will join …
as soon as we finalized everything will inform you
hope everybody will cooperate for our own benefit….

  65. hi mary again..
lets meet.. mas maganda if all of us will work together..and we can make a plan for wat is the best thing that we could do.. we need to fight…you can send me email @ airhi****@****.*** or text me @ 091943***** if you want guys to talk about it…mas madame mas maganda…

  66. ei ms. bam i wasnt able to read your comment..when do yuo plan to meet us…me and my friends are willing to communicate with you…i can also share to you somebody’s idea…i mean somebody who wanted to help…mas maganda pag iisang grupo lang po di po ba../?

(tama ba? hehehe)

  68. Being a loyal employee of amberbase marami ng pagbabago, hindi nman sa pinagtatangol ko ang company na ito.. its nice to say na updated na ang lhat ng contri nmin at katunayan merun sila mga receipt n nka post sa bulletin board na all statory payment are paid for that month and its already posted n rin kasi nag check ako sa sss website. hindi nman cguro totoo na epixtar is still exist. Amberbase is a new company hindi ito makakapag operate sa pilipinas kung papalitan lang nya basta ang pangalan from epixtar, thinking na ang daming bad record nito sa DOLE as employer.

Ok nrin ang psweldo since we have our ATM card already na hindi tulad dati na parang construction worker.

Sa mga naapektuhan ng ganung pangyayari its not only epixtar ang nakaranas ng ganung sitwasyon.. may mas worst pa nga dyan na bigla n lng tinangal at di pa pinasweldo. let us look at the brighter side of life.. Epixtar is dead.. and it doesn’t really exist.. Epixtar doesn’t care khit cguro magreklamo pa tayu sa congresso!! and I’m sure wlang magyayari lalo na US Based ito na nagun e bagsak ang ekonomiya.. Gusto ko man sumama sa inyo, i leave it up to our lord n lang..

Hope you guys get my point..

  69. AMBERBASE staff now (w/c are the same admin staff) will always tell you that they don’t hanbdle your backpays or contributions since its EPIXTAR’s problem..and they will tell you wla na cla records.. AS IF!!! Legally they are officially a different company.. (galing ng busniness move) so wala magagawa ang LABOR

FYI, Amberbase is currently having problems with the Onshore people of EPIXTAR kasi nde cla binabayaran sa service nila (the programs and all)

  70. We (the victims, not Epixtar) have setup a free website for everyone to post their stories, give and receive information, and become a message board for all those involved. We are just starting it so please log in and contribute as much as you can and spread the word for the website.

    epxrlabor . com

    Thanks!

    Thanks!

  72. I really feel pity for the loyal (or got stuck?)employees of Epixtar. I’m still bothered why our prettiest Team Leader (she’s my Crush wohoooo!!)who was working for Epixtar for 3-4 years hasn’t done anything about her obvious situation – until now. I hope she hasn’t lost her aspirations.

If you’re one of the employees who got “Transitioned”, “absorbed”, or whatever, you’ll get the feeling in your GUT that Amberbase IS still Epixtar.

Also, why would a NEW OWNER (even I don’t know who) trust a Management Team that can’t run the company anymore? If I were him/her (or a party), I’d be worried about my money going to hell with these people “Money-ging” my business. They’re TOTALLY THE SAME people!! How can I, a rank-and-file ever hope for a BIG CHANGE for this place?

I am really dissappointed when I felt that the same LENIENCY and SLACK management style Epixtar is known for is still in effect. I was really hoping for change in terms of Personnel Management but anyone can still do dumb things without feeling guilty.

I was wrong to blame the I.T. Guys about the BAD QUALITY of Equipment we’re using for “Business”. I’m with one of the stable (I think so, we’re expanding and our Client likes us – the agents so much)Inbound Campaigns of the company. But I’m totally baffled that the Higher-ups don’t ever consider UPGRADING our Workstations. 80% of the mice we use can be considered unusable. Yes, we all use LCD Monitors but the CPU itself is running on Year 2005 Specs (Pentium 2.4Ghz, 256mb RAM). I consider the CPU still good but somehow, the network job of these computers are messed up (server issue?). Even Notepad gets “hanging, freezing, or whites-out”. Expect 1-3. seconds delay whenever you switch applications or windows. Even worse, it makes you furious with that “NOT RESPONDING” message. Other times, it won’t let you take control over the mouse pointer.

Bang my head right now on the concrete floor is what I wanna do(It’s gonna hurt, I won’t). I’m not gonna make a career here. I’m taken for granted, I’m put aside. They’ll see what they’re missing after I leave. Only thing making be pull back is our Client. They’re so friendly! Lucky Epixtar-Amberbase…

  73. guys we need to log on http://www.epxrlabor.com..

and please register.. this is our site, and possibly this will give us justice hopefully..

    thanks!

  74. oh my! i’m going to start my training this days in amberbase.. is this really true? nag doubt tuloy ako kung tuloy ko pa. help nman before pa ko malubog..

  75. EPICSCAM

  76. i don’t think naman na they’re scam.. bitter lang kayo..

  77. OMG! im planning to go back pa naman sana ganito na pala sitwasyon… does that mean wala na rin yung mga file ng ex employees nila? sayang naman yung pinaghirapan ko dun… please help!!!

  78. actually, until now, wala parin aq news, dey said n makukuha q un backpay q after 3 months.. i hated it.. i think i need to go to nlrc ndin.

Yesterday my friends and I went there to apply as CSR. We’re for final interview na lang at magstart na ng training on Monday.

Maybe at the end of the day, ganto din mangyari sa min.

    Tsktsk.

  81. May I know the land line number of the former Epixtar?

  83. I was with Epixtar since April of 2006. I left the company last July 2007. At first very satisfied with the compensations…Yehey! During orientations we were told na every six months may appraisal!!!..I reached my 1 year then WALA nmn pla..Ok. I applied for the IBANK salary loan nung mag1 year ako…Nanganib stats ko..I was forced to resign kesa materminate..un kasi ang anticipation ng mga agents there..U’d rather resign kesa iterminate ka becoz of performance..para ok pa din ang records mo.. Like what others said in this forum..Epixtar told me to follow up my back pay after 3 months.BUT in my case meron p kasi akong salary loan na hindi nakukumpleto ng bayad..pero nagfollow up ako after 3 months.. sbi ng HR personnel if Im not mistaken..JOSEPH is the name..”WALA na daw akong makukuhang back pay…kasi ung backpay KO DAW ay ibabayad sa IBANK(unionbank) salary loan ko..And that remained fair enough..ayoko ding magkautang sa bangko..
I was very confident till Hindi ako tantanan ng IBANK(UNIONBANK)..evry single week tumatawag sakin at ako ang hinahabol. I’m currently working for another call center.1 year and 8 months nko dito at habang nagttrabaho ako dito ganun din katagal akong binubulabog ng bangko..I kept saying na.” I read in the application na if incase ang borrower ay magresign..The garrantor or the company ang magcocompensate ng remaining balances ko”.E ala akong garrantor???So dapat EPIXTAR ang bahala gaya ng sinabi skin ng HR personnel na YUN! JOSEPH?

  84. Motherf**ker inaasahan ko pa naman bak pay ko tapos d pa binigay ung last salary ko mga gag* pala sila pag nakita ko yang si Rob uupakan ko talaga yan ..maganda nyan kunin n lang natin unit ng pc nila tapos benta n lang natin para kahit papaano mag ka pera tayo ….sana matulungan tayo sa kaso na to dahil for the first time ngayon ko lang hindi ko nakuha ung back pay ko

    PLS HELP US

  85. I was currently hired by Amberbase. I undergone training and all for the DSA Account. Passed the 90% Certification na mejo napaiyak sa hirap! Pero fulfilled nmn ng mkrating ng floor! Ngaun June 04, 2009. And sbe ng ka-batch ko n nkpasa din sa DSA na nsa SOUTH wing while me n the north side. Imbes na 8000 hrs nlng bu2nuin, 4000hrs nlng. And then what happened k2tangap ko lng ng text ili2pat daw xa ds protection and all acct.

  87. i am working right now sa amberbase ok naman sya salaries are on time. im working here for almost 4 months .the thing i dont like about amberbase is yung mga unpaid Over time namin lalo na sa discover. over sa OT as in tapos napaka luma n nung files. mag babawas pa ng hours kasi may discover acquisition na din daw sa Air relay.huhuhu.im planning to leave na din at sana may makuha naman akong back pay!!!!!!!11

  88. Damn i already now thw news against Epixta- Amberbase

2 days ago i got the job from them and damn sobrang dali ng exam. actually trip ko lang magapply sa amberbase, galing ako ng convergys (former applicant) nakita ko amberbase sabi ko wow bago diba epixtar to,,, sabay pasok at apply kuno, ngee 1hr lang job offer na agad intl intrview then sales intervierw then thats it tapos requirements to be pass on the said date,, Tanga lang ang nagsstay dito, alam nyo ng SCAM an Callcenter nato dont stay to a callcenter that looks like a hell for those people working for their needs and wants or for their family aswell.I wish them all the CURSE for this company

  89. y? is this the real color of this company? though they will change the name of the said company, the wont hide the scam and troubles that has already happened. Shit! i’m planning to go back but i decided not bcoz of these damn things that are now happening in AMBERBASE SOLUTION daw!hahaha

  90. hay naku!how can i start a new career in this kind of company? it really sucks! ti naintindihan nyo gna pangwakal ko? i dont think so. Most of us who been working there, i thought experienced troubles, and un-mannered kinf of attitude from our instructors and even from our TL while we’re on the floor…

  91. None has mentioned about another company bought by Amberbase here in Manila. Im talking about Link Solutions in Makati. Funny thing is that most of the workforce of Link are EX-pixtars as well.
To our surprise, we just woke up one day learning that the company we all deserted was right after us. So funny to think about coz you already ran away from them but before you knew it, you’re back to this dreadful organization of greedy and unmindful people arms.
Transistion happened last July 2009 and i got to tell you guys, they were ready when they set foot in this building ( with lawyers with them, undercover body gurads etc.). They came in to tell the people of Link that they are taking over and that change is good and this is all for the better.
I have to admit that Link Solutions itself is a company that is just getting by. We don’t have much of benefits as most of the big centers have but we dont mind coz people believe that what were into is a company who thinks of the welfare of their people.- IT WAS….Till Amberbase set’s in. by the end of the year, 13th month pay was only computed from July to December leaving hundreds deprived of what they have worked for the whole year. people were asked to sign a new contract during the transition and was not even allowed to bring the contract to their stations. ( it was like reading your terms and conditions in your recording for your sale is Discover Card Aquisition Campaign, LOL) saying just trust the management, this is for the betterment of everyone. But from my vantage point, there is nothing good in Amberbase’s entry.
AMBERBASE: YOU GUYS ARE WAISTING THE TALENTS AND SKILLS OF THE PEOPLE YOU CURRENTLY HAVE. I STILL HOPE THAT YOU CAN STILL SLEEP WITH ALL OF BAD THINGS YOU ARE DOING THE THESE PEOPLE. ESPECIAL MENTION YUNG ATTORNEY DAW NA KAMUKHA NI PONG PAGONG. ANGAS MO BUUUY! DI KO ALAM PANGALAN MO PERO BUTI UMABOT KA NG GANYANG EDAD. DI KA BA NABUBWISIT PAG TUMITINGIN SA SALAMIN???? PANGET MO EH

APPRAISE NYO MGA VISOR NYO! WAG NYO IPITIN MGA PERA NILA!

  93. This internet site is really quite good, but for some reason it does not display properly when trying to view on my Nintendo Wii. If it helps, the console uses the Opera browser and am impelled to using the console for accessing the Net whilst my PC is away being restored.

  94. I just got regularized sa company. So far I’ts been OK. Salary is not as high as the other centers but the commission is really good. It’s the one that seperates the performers from the non-performers. We have subsidized meal and free parking which saves me alot of money. For carrer growth… im still not sure although I see openings for QA SV prioritizing on internal hires. So far im enjoying my stay. I need referrals hehhe if you can email your resume to recruit****@****.*** and lagay nyo sa Title Applicant referred by Ryan David. I would appreciate it. TY.

  95. Amberbase has two sites already…are the managers in makati same with Libis? who has the better management???

  96. Amberbase… Angerbase Libis didn’t release our ITR. Employees hired 2nd quarter of 2009 got their ITRs. Ex-Epixtar employees who stayed until today got no ITRs.

I hate myself for staying in Amberbase Libis. I should have left right after the takeover. I don’t expect to get a backpay at all. I’ll just accept my foolishness and transfer to better CC.

I just like the Libis building. It has 3 levels free car parking, 12 floors office space, nice looking career center, 3 elevators, and others. Too bad, the admin people are incompetent but effective criminals.

I feel bad about the possibility of that building getting demolished in a year or so.

  97. ang kulet. hay. kinalimutan ko na din yung last pay ko sa epix. nagresign ako sept 2008 kasi kung san san na nila ako nililipat. hehe. pero dami kong natutunan sa epix, first job ko yun e tapos ngayon manager nako. may loan lang ako dati sa ibank na akala ko natapos na yun pala di nila nirremit kaya dami tuloy tumatawag sakin to settle the loan. pero i presented all the documents that epixtar deducted money from my salary. nakakalungkot. dami kasing talented dun. pero im hearing there are still promotions. good job sa kanila!

Lanie Reyes, Carl Baltazar, Ato atornihan ninyo… Mga manunuba lahat! Me araw rin kayo! Tan_a ba kayo lanie at carl? Malamang…

  101. Any news about the company? Had there been any improvement since the change in name? Are the upper management still the same people?

  102. It absolutely confuses me when someone says they are fighting with their adjuster for $175,000, and more, on their homeowner’s claim, yet they don’t want to spend the amount of money from my website to actually see how I have handled the same type of situation, successfully. I say this not to brag, but I have the knowledge and know how that you NEED to get what you DESERVE to be paid on your claim. If that means spending $39.00 on my site to help you have the knowledge to win an additional $100,000, doesn’t it make good sense to buy it now?

  103. well..since most of the bosses are still working there, you’ll still expect the same rotten system as before.. these people doesn’t deserve to be treated with respect since they don’t know how to respect their employees!! KARMA will eFn get them!!!

  104. @ immy

actually a lot has changed. Most directors/upper management are new. I’ve never worked for Epixtar so I wouldn’t know where u guys are coming from but so far based on my exp. everything seems ok. I check my SSS contribution every month online and it seems to be updated. salary and commission are given on time. Im just hoping now that the 13th month pay would be given earlier =)

  105. what about Pong and Kaye Rodenas? I heard that they’e still connected with Amberbase..Beware of them..just a friendly advise though, try to open your eyes.. You might not realize that they are only using you out of their own expense.

  106. It is sad to know that some company did not pay back the dedication of the employers. Knowingly they are paying for their Pag-ibig funds and SSS. Even they are now transferred and relocated to the other company, still they should have emailed or send memos to the employees. And for those who are seeking for a job, try to be familiarize with the company and their background.

You are being investigated by someone in the states na may talk show everyday at malakas yun sa ftc… isasara kayo ng di oras. To all employees, bantayan ninyo ang inyong mga contributions at taxes at backpay. Magaling manggulang ang lanie reyes na yan.

  109. i have omitted amber-base managers in the valley or just resigning? In my own opinion just try to be familiarize with the company and their background for those who are seeking for a job. thanks..

  110. what does this mean? how does this affect the outsourcing industry of the country? I hope would not affect the wages of people work because their family affected.

  111. For one. A professional company can do a much more
through job of investigating. The candidate’s participation in activist or political action groups might pose a threat because the business is involved in activities which conflict with the agendas of those groups.

  112. I was wondering if you ever thought of changing the page
layout of your website? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or 2 images.
Maybe you could space it out better?

  113. My spouse and I stumbled over here coming from a
different web address and thought I may as well check things out.

I like what I see so now i am following you. Look forward to looking into your web
    page for a second time.

  114. Howdy! This blog post couldn’t be written much better!
Reading through this article reminds me of my previous roommate!
He continually kept preaching about this. I’ll send
this post to him. Pretty sure he’s going to have a
very good read. Thanks for sharing!

  115. You really make it appear so easy with your presentation however I to find this
matter to be actually something which I think I’d never understand.
It kind of feels too complicated and extremely wide for me.
I’m taking a look forward in your subsequent submit, I’ll try to get
    the dangle of it!

  116. Something to cool off in handily might be a great addition to the garden plan. Have a exclusive area for changing baby diapers
in the house not view of the guests. These are found
in various shapes as well as sizes.

  117. In the early 17th century, Phu Quoc was a desolate area where Vietnamese and Chinese immigrants earned their living from the highly coveted sea cucumbers.
Once done, get back to Craven, retrieve your lens and get back to
camp. Although colder weather shuts down and destroys
tender vegetable plants, you do have an alternative for growing your own succulent vegetables, and that is to utilize a grow closet and garden indoors.
