Number Coding in Metro Manila to be reinstated this week

Majority of NCR mayors have agreed and signed a resolution that reinstates the Number Coding scheme in Metro Manila.

According to Allan Gatus’ report on Super Radyo dzBB on Monday via GMA News Online, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Benhur Abalos said that the number coding scheme will be implemented from Monday to Friday, from 5 PM to 8 PM, and will only cover private vehicles.

PVUs are exempted as they are still operating under limited passenger capacity under Alert Level 2.

The implementation will start two days after the resolution is published in the Official Gazette on Tuesday.

The Number Coding scheme in Metro Manila was suspended in 2020 due to the pandemic.

MMDA should give life assurance and hospitalization insurance to every filipino commuter, this COVID-19 Omicron virus is still everywhere and possible spread could be more dangerous.
