Apple actualiza el Vision Pro con el chip M5

Listen to article

Apple has quietly updated its Vision Pro headset with the new M5 chip, replacing the M2 version launched in 2023. Alongside the upgraded internals, the refreshed model also introduces a redesigned Dual Knit Band and runs on the latest visionOS 26.

The M5 chip features a 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine, delivering smoother visuals and around 10% more pixel rendering on its 4K-per-eye micro-OLED displays. The headset now supports refresh rates up to 120Hz, while the R1 chip remains to handle input from 12 cameras, five sensors, and six microphones.

Apple says the improved Neural Engine enhances spatial photos and Persona generation. The new Dual Knit Band, made from a single 3D-knit piece, improves weight balance, breathability, and comfort.

Battery life remains at three hours with the external pack. Pricing starts at $3,499 (256GB), with global availability beginning October 22 across select markets.
